Wing’s drone delivery is coming to 150 more Walmarts

Wing's Drone Delivery Expansion Hits 150 More Walmart Stores

In a significant expansion of its drone delivery operations, Alphabet-owned company Wing has announced that it will be deploying its drones at an additional 150 Walmart stores by the end of 2026. This move aims to bring the total number of locations with Wing's drone delivery service to 270, a goal set for completion by 2027.

Currently, Wing operates at approximately 27 stores across the US, including several in Atlanta and Walmart locations in Dallas-Forth Worth and Arkansas. The company has also partnered with DoorDash to conduct drone deliveries in Dallas and Charlotte, North Carolina.

According to Wing, its drones have completed over 750,000 deliveries since their first launch in 2012. The company claims that by shifting more deliveries to small electric multi-rotor aircraft, fewer polluting trucks will be needed for last-mile deliveries, which aligns with the environmental benefits of using drones for delivery services.

The expansion is also a testament to growing demand for Wing's delivery service. The company revealed that its "top 25% of customers ordered 3 times a week" and that deliveries have grown by 300% in the last six months.

Wing's flagship drone can handle payloads of up to 2.5 pounds, while its newer models can carry payloads of up to 5 pounds. The drones use tethers and hooks to pick up small bags and lightweight cardboard boxes from designated distribution sites in Walmart parking lots, and then drop them off in customers' front lawns.

With this expansion, Wing is poised to become one of the largest drone delivery services in the US, marking a significant milestone for the industry.

I'm so hyped about this! 🚁 Like, can you imagine getting your package just dropped on your porch without having to wait around? It's already happening in some areas and it's crazy how convenient it is! I mean, I've seen Wing's drones flying around and they're so sleek. And with the environmental benefits too... it's like the perfect combo! 💚 The fact that Walmart is on board with this is huge too - they must be seeing some pretty big gains from it. Have you guys tried using Wing's service before? 🤔

🤔 I think it's awesome that Wing is pushing the boundaries with drone delivery! 🚁 270 stores by 2027 is a pretty ambitious goal, but if they can make it happen, it could be game-changing for the environment. With more deliveries via drones, fewer trucks on the road means less air pollution and congestion. Plus, it's great to see Walmart on board with this tech - their customers must love being able to get packages delivered right to their doorstep without having to leave the house. 🛍️ It's also interesting that Wing has seen a 300% growth in deliveries over the last six months...I guess there's definitely demand for this kind of convenience! 💰

I'm loving how far drone tech has come since I first saw drones used by UPS in 2019 🚁💨! Now we're talking about these things being used at Walmart, DoorDash, and even for deliveries as a sustainable alternative to those big ol' trucks 🌎. It's crazy to think that Wing's drones have done over 750k deliveries already since 2012...that's like, what, over 20 years of non-stop delivery? lol! I'm all about saving the planet wherever possible, so this is definitely something I'm excited to see more of 🌟

🚁📈 This is insane! 270 stores by 2027? They're gonna be delivering pizza and groceries to every corner of America 🍕🛍️. And with the demand being 300% higher in the last six months, it's clear that people are loving the convenience of drone deliveries. I mean, who needs a car when you can just drop off your stuff from the sky? 🤯

Here's some stats to put this into perspective:

* 750,000+ deliveries since 2012
* Top 25% of customers order 3 times a week (that's a lot of coffee and snacks!)
* 300% growth in deliveries over six months
* 150 new stores added in the next few years (that's like adding one store every 5-6 days!)

I'm also loving the environmental benefits. Fewer polluting trucks on the road means less air pollution and congestion 🌟. Let's see how Wing's drone delivery service holds up to real-world use, but for now, I'm stoked to see innovation in action 🚀

Just saw that Wing's getting their drones into more Walmart stores 🚁💨 This is gonna be so convenient for people who need packages delivered quickly! 150 more locations by end of 2026 is a big deal, especially with their partnership with DoorDash 🤝. I mean, it's awesome that they're trying to reduce polluting trucks and make deliveries more eco-friendly 🌎. With the growth in demand, I'm curious to see how Wing will handle the logistics of this expansion 🤔. Can't wait to see these drones zipping around our cities! 😄

🤔 I think it's really cool that Wing's drone delivery service is expanding to more Walmart stores... its like we're getting closer to the future where our packages just magically appear on our doorstep! 📦 And its good to hear that they're helping reduce pollution by using less trucks for last-mile deliveries. But, gotta wonder how they plan to deal with weather conditions and bad lighting in all these locations... still a lot of work to be done before this tech is seamless and efficient for everyone 😊

This is so cool 🤩! I mean, who wouldn't want their packages delivered by drones? It's like something out of a sci-fi movie 😎. And it's awesome that Wing is working on reducing pollution from trucks - we need more innovative solutions to help our planet 💚. The fact that 25% of customers are ordering deliveries three times a week is crazy 🤯! I can already imagine walking up to my front door and seeing a little drone drop off a package for me 📦. And it's not just about convenience, but also about the environment - fewer trucks on the road means less air pollution 🌫️. Bring on 2027 when Wing hits that 270-store goal! ⏰

omg 🤩🚁 drones r getting soooo popular! i mean, who wouldn't wanna have stuff delivered right to their doorstep without having to leave the house lol 😂. wing's doing a great job with this expansion tho, can't wait 2 c them bringin' those drone deliveries 2 even more stores 📈💨. it's also super cool how they're tryna reduce pollution by usin drones instead of trucks 🌎🚮. btw, 750k deliveries since 2012 is crazy 🤯!

I'm totally stoked about Wing's drone delivery expansion 🤩 but at the same time, I'm like, really worried that all these drones are gonna be a total eyesore and disrupt the whole neighborhood vibe 🙅‍♂️ I mean, have you seen those Walmart parking lots? They're already super crowded and noisy, adding more drones to the mix just seems like too much 😩 But on the other hand, if Wing's goal is to reduce pollution and help the environment by using less trucking, then I'm all for it 🌟 Like, we need to start thinking about the future of delivery services, right? And if Wing can make it work without being a total nuisance, that'd be awesome 👍

omg 270 stores by 2027 sounds like a lot 🚁💨 i dont know about the environmental benefits but at least its reducing the number of trucks on the road 🚗👍 and think about how much time people save with drone deliveries, no more waiting for hours for their packages 🕰️😴 what's crazy is that customers are ordering 3 times a week lol like some ppl have nothing better to do 💁‍♀️ but seriously though, its great to see companies innovating and pushing the boundaries of tech 🤖💻

omg, can u believe it? wing's drone delivery is getting crazy popular! i mean, 750k deliveries since 2012? that's like, a whole lotta packages delivered by robots 🤖📦. and now they're gonna be at like, 270 stores or something? that's just mind-blowing.

i remember when wing first started, it was all about testing the waters, so to speak. now they're taking it to the next level with this expansion. and its not just about saving trucks from being stuck in traffic 🚗🤦‍♂️, it's also good for the environment, which is awesome.

personally, i think it's gonna change the way we shop, you know? like, who needs to go out of their house when you can just order stuff online and have a drone deliver it right to your doorstep? game-changer 🤯.

OMG, 270 stores by 2027? That's wild 🤯! I was thinking they'd take way longer to get that many Walmart locations on board. But I guess when you're making it work with DoorDash and all those deliveries (over 750k?!), you gotta move fast 💨. And yeah, fewer trucks means less pollution – that's a major win for the environment 🌎. Can't wait to see how this plays out in the next few years. Maybe we'll have drones delivering everything from Amazon packages to food orders 🛍️🍔

🚨 I'm telling you, this is just the tip of the iceberg! They're expanding drone deliveries at Walmart stores and it's not just about saving on trucks, it's about collecting all that data on our shopping habits... 📊 Think about it, with 270 locations, they'll have a huge treasure trove of info on what people want to buy online. And with their drones being able to carry up to 5 pounds, I bet they're planning on using them for some kinda mass surveillance system... 🔍 Just wait and see! They're always saying "for the environment" but I'm like, what's the real motive? 🤔

Umm I was reading about Wing's drone deliveries last month and now they're expanding even more 🤯🚁! They've got 27 stores already but it looks like they're gonna hit 270 by 2027 which is crazy. I mean think about it, no more trucks on the road for last-mile deliveries 🚗💨. The thing that's really got me thinking is how they can scale this up without it getting too expensive or complicated 🤔. And what's with the top 25% of customers ordering like 3 times a week? Are we living in a future where people just wanna shop at Walmart that much 😂.

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s wild that we’re gonna see drones flying around Walmart parking lots like they're just delivering stuff from your car 🚗🎉. It's crazy how much demand there is for this service and now Wing is expanding to 270 locations in two years - that's like, what, a small city or something? 🤯 And I guess it's good for the environment too since fewer trucks means less pollution 💨. But, I don’t know, it just feels like sci-fi movie stuff right now... like we're living in an episode of "The Jetsons" 📺🚀

I'm low-key hyped about Wing's drone delivery expansion 🤩! I mean, who wouldn't want their Amazon package dropped off by a sleek flying robot? The fact that they're partnering with Walmart is genius - it's like they're taking a cue from The Matrix (remember that scene where Neo gets his packages delivered via hovercraft?) and making last-mile deliveries more efficient.

I'm also loving the eco-friendly vibes 🌎. With fewer trucks on the road, it's a win-win for both the environment and our sanity. And with 750,000+ deliveries under their belt, they're definitely proving that drones can be a game-changer in the delivery space. I'm excited to see where this tech takes us next - maybe one day we'll have drones delivering pizza like in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 🍕🦸‍♂️

🤖💨 just saw that wing is going to be at 270 walmarts by 2027 🚀 that's crazy! they've only been doing this since 2012 and already they're making a huge impact on reducing polluting trucks 🚗💦 i think it's awesome that they can handle up to 5 pounds of payload now 📦💪 maybe we'll see more cities adopt drone delivery soon? 🤔

[Diagram: a simple line graph showing the growth of drone deliveries from 2012-2026, with an upward trend]

also, it's cool that wing is already seeing high demand for their service 💸👍 customers are ordering every week from top 25% of walmarts... that's some serious convenience 🤩

idk why ppl r so hyped about drones delivering stuff lol... like isnt it just the same thing as havin a person walkin down the street w/ yer package? we dont need all this tech to get our packages from walmart to our front doors. but i guess its cool that they can carry more weight now 😂 and hopefully it helps reduce emissions or somethin 🌎

🤔 270 stores in 4 years? That's crazy fast growth. I need to see some numbers on how much of that is actual increase vs just scaling up from their initial 27 spots. And what about safety concerns? Like, accidents involving drones hitting people or pets? Have they even released any data on those types of incidents?

Also, 300% growth in the last six months? That's a pretty steep climb. What's driving that demand? Is it just people getting more comfortable with online shopping and wanting same-day delivery, or is there something else going on here?

And don't even get me started on the environmental claims 😒. I need to see some concrete data on how Wing's drones are actually reducing emissions compared to traditional delivery methods. Can't we have a discussion about this without Wing just making unsubstantiated claims? 🤷
