Christmas classics, sweet specials and fun shows: ABC releases full holiday programming schedule

ABC has a plethora of holiday programming lined up for viewers, with a mix of classic Christmas specials, new shows and fun content to keep everyone in the festive spirit.

From November 27th to January 1st, ABC will be airing special episodes of popular shows such as "Abbott Elementary", "America's Funniest Home Videos" and "Shifting Gears". The network is also premiering two brand-new holiday specials: "Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas" which explores the extraordinary journey of Mary and Joseph leading up to Jesus' birth, and "Olaf's Frozen Adventure", an animated holiday special that sees Olaf teaming up with Sven on a merry mission to save Anna and Elsa's first Christmas.

Fans of classic Disney movies can look forward to watching "The Sound of Music" and "Home Alone", both of which will be airing as part of the Wonderful World of Disney Presents series. The network is also hosting its 40th Anniversary Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, which will feature musical performances from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida; Disneyland Resort in California and Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii.

The Big Game, or rather the NBA games on Christmas Day, are set to air, with six games scheduled across different time zones. Viewers can also spend the final night of the year counting down to midnight in Times Square with "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025".

Sports fans won't want to miss this year's NBA Christmas Special Presented by State Farm, which features some of the biggest names in basketball. And music lovers can look forward to watching "iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2025", a celebration of the season's best in music featuring superstar performances.

Overall, ABC has put together an impressive holiday schedule that will satisfy both old and new fans alike.

omg i'm literally so excited for this!!! πŸŽ‰ ABC is killing it with their holiday programming this year! I mean who doesn't love a good Christmas special? "The First Christmas" sounds so beautifully done, i need to watch it ASAP πŸ™ and of course, "Olaf's Frozen Adventure" is just too cute for words πŸ˜‚. And can we talk about the NBA games on Christmas Day? my favorite sport, i'm going to be glued to the screen all day watching those slam dunks πŸ€πŸ‘. also, "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025" is basically the highlight reel of the whole holiday season πŸ˜†. what's not to love about this lineup?! 🎊

Man I love this time of year! It feels like Christmas just started since they're already playing all these classic Disney movies πŸŽ„. Remember when we used to watch "The Sound of Music" on VHS? Now it's all about streaming, but the magic remains same. And can't forget those old-school Home Alone episodes πŸ˜‚. I'm also stoked they're doing that 40th Anniversary Disney Parade thingy – I've been to those parades with my family when I was a kid, and now we get to watch them on TV πŸŽ‰. The NBA games on Christmas Day are always lit too! It's like the whole country comes together to celebrate the holiday season πŸ€. And Ryan Seacrest's New Year's Rockin' Eve is still the best way to ring in the new year – all those celebrities, fireworks, and countdowns what's not to love? 🎊

omg abc is bringing back so many classics! i'm super hyped for "the sound of music" & "home alone", i've watched those like 10 times already lol πŸŽ„πŸ‘ their christmas specials are always the best, i love olaf's frozen adventure so much 🐻❀️ i wish they'd do a disney marathon or something, that sounds like so much fun πŸ˜†

I'm not convinced about this holiday lineup... πŸ€” Where's the source on Kevin Costner being involved with "The First Christmas"? I couldn't find any info on him producing or narrating a documentary special about Mary and Joseph. Sounds like a marketing ploy to me πŸ˜’. And what's up with Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade? When did this event start, and how many people have actually watched it live? πŸ“Ί Is it really that special?

πŸŽ„ abc is all about that holiday life πŸŽ… this year they got some awesome stuff lined up for us! i'm lowkey excited to see "kevin costner presents: the first christmas" - who knew olaf was a superhero? πŸ˜‰ also, who doesn't love disney? "the sound of music" and "home alone" are gonna be classics 🎡 meanwhile, sports fans are gonna get their fix with the big game & nba games on christmas day ⚽️ what's not to love about abc's holiday programming?! they're throwing it back with some retro faves while also bringing us new stuff like "iheartradio jingle ball 2025" 🎢 bring on the festive vibes!

I'm so stoked for the holidays this year πŸŽ„πŸŽ! I mean, who doesn't love a good excuse to cozy up on the couch with some hot cocoa and binge-watch their fave shows? ABC's got an epic lineup of holiday programming that's got something for everyone - from classic Disney flicks to brand-new specials, it's like they're speaking straight to my heart ❀️. And let's not forget about all the sports and music events that are going down, I'm low-key hyped for the NBA games on Christmas Day πŸ€! The countdown to midnight in Times Square is always a highlight of the year, and this year's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025" promises to be just as lit πŸ”₯. All in all, ABC's holiday schedule looks like it's going to be the perfect way to get into the festive spirit! πŸŽ…

lol its gonna be a busy xmas season πŸŽ„πŸ˜‚ with all these shows and parades on abc. i mean who needs a break when you can watch abbott elementary or shifting gears in the middle of december? 🀣 also, olafs frozen adventure sounds kinda meh, but hey, its christmas so i wont judge 😴 gotta love kevin costners presents tho, that sounds super interesting. and 40 years of disney parks magical christmas day parade is a big deal πŸŽ‰ cant wait to see the musical performances from walt disney world resorts. and of course who can forget dick clarks new years rockin eve? πŸŽŠπŸ‘

πŸ€• Just when you thought things couldn't get any more depressing, the media is hyping up another sugary sweet holiday lineup on TV... like we haven't had enough of sappy Christmas specials and overpriced concerts already πŸŽ…πŸ˜’. And let's not forget the Big Game, just a reminder that most people will be stuck at home alone watching games while their friends are out celebrating with families πŸ‘‹. Not to mention the 40th Anniversary Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, just another excuse for people to spend money on overpriced merchandise πŸ›οΈ. Just my two cents... πŸ’”

its gonna be a wild ride this holiday season on abc 🀩! i mean, who doesn't love gettin' all cozy with some classic disney flicks like sound of music & home alone? πŸŽ„πŸ‘ plus the big game is always a must-watch, especially if you're a hoops fan. but what really gets me excited is that they're throwin' in some new stuff too, like kevin costner's christmas special - sounds pretty cool! πŸ€” can't wait to see olaf team up with sven for the first time ever. and let's not forget about dick clarks new years eve party πŸŽ‰ it's gonna be a blast countin' down to midnight in times square. overall, abc's got a solid holiday lineup that'll keep everyone entertained till jan 1st 🎊

You know, I think its dope that ABC is getting so lit for the holidays πŸŽ„πŸŽ! All these classic Christmas specials and new shows are gonna bring back the festive vibes like no other. And, omg, have you seen the lineup for the NBA games on Christmas Day? Its gonna be a real showdown between some of the best ballers in the league ⚑️. I also love that they're airing some of those classic Disney movies as part of the Wonderful World of Disney Presents series - it's like a trip down memory lane, you feel me?

I'm so stoked for the holiday lineup on ABC πŸŽ„! They're doing such a great job mixing it up with classic Christmas specials like "The Sound of Music" and "Home Alone", as well as some brand-new stuff like "Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas". I love that they're premiering two new holiday specials - that one about Mary and Joseph sounds so cool! And, omg, who wouldn't want to watch Olaf team up with Sven on a merry mission 🐺? Plus, it's awesome that ABC is featuring some amazing performances at the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade... I'm totally counting down to midnight in Times Square with "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" πŸŽ‰! The NBA games and "iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2025" are going to be so lit too πŸ’ƒ. Overall, ABC is killing it this holiday season! πŸ˜„

πŸŽ… I'm so down for all this holiday programming! But can we talk about how boring it is to have all these classic Disney movies airing on ABC? Like, don't get me wrong, The Sound of Music is a classic and all, but it's been played to death. Can't we have some new shows or something instead of just re-runs? πŸ€” And what's up with the NBA games on Christmas Day? I mean, I love sports, but can't they move them to, like, a Sunday or something? πŸ˜‚ Plus, has anyone seen the lineup for "Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas"? It looks so cheesy. Is that even worth watching? πŸŽ„

I'm super hyped for this holiday lineup on ABC πŸŽ„πŸ“Ί! I mean, who doesn't love Christmas classics like "The Sound of Music" and "Home Alone"? And the fact that they're premiering two new specials is a great bonus - "Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas" sounds so interesting! πŸ€” I'm also stoked to see Olaf back on screen in "Olaf's Frozen Adventure". It's going to be a fun holiday season with all these awesome shows and events. Can't wait to cozy up on the couch and get into the festive spirit πŸ˜ŠπŸŽ…

Ugh, another overpacked holiday lineup from ABC πŸ™„. I mean, who needs so much content crammed into one short period? It's like they're trying to cram as many ads in there as possible πŸ“Ί. And the NBA games on Christmas Day are just going to get lost in all the other stuff... not exactly ideal viewing for basketball fans πŸ€. Give me a break, can't we have a decent schedule with some breathing room? 😩

πŸŽ„ I'm so excited for this year's holiday programming on ABC! 🀩 It looks like they've got something for everyone - from classic Disney movies to NBA games and live performances by top artists. I think it's great that they're premiering two new holiday specials, one of which is actually about Jesus' birth (no relation, just interesting!). Can't wait to cozy up with some festive episodes of my fave shows like "Abbott Elementary" πŸ“Ί and enjoy the Wonderful World of Disney Presents series. And, of course, who can resist singing along to "Home Alone" or dancing to "iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2025"? πŸŽΆπŸ‘

meh, another Christmas lineup from ABC... sounds like they're trying to cash in on the holiday spirit 😐. two new holiday specials? "Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas"? who's behind the scenes pulling those strings on this one? πŸ€” seems suspiciously tied to his production company... how much of a production budget did he get for that one? πŸ’Έ also, what's up with Disney taking over their entire schedule? are they trying to make us think it's 1990 all over again? πŸŽ„πŸ˜’

😊 I'm so excited for this lineup! It sounds like they've got something for everyone - classic Christmas specials, new shows, and fun content to keep us all in the festive mood πŸŽ„β€οΈ. I'm loving the fact that they're premiering "Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas" - it's always fascinating to learn more about the history behind our favorite holidays ✝️. And who can resist a good ol' fashioned "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025"? πŸŽ‰πŸ•°οΈ Counting down to midnight in Times Square is going to be so much fun! πŸ˜†
