Venezuelan opposition leader says he expects the regime to crack soon

A Venezuelan opposition leader has hinted that the current government, led by President Nicolas Maduro, may be on the brink of collapse in the near future.

According to David Smolansky, a prominent figure in Venezuela's opposition movement and a former member of parliament, Mr. Maduro's regime is 'on shaky ground' and will likely crumble soon. Smolansky has been living in exile in the US for several years after receiving death threats from the government.

Speaking with CBS News chief foreign affairs correspondent Margaret Brennan, Smolansky cited various factors that suggest Maduro's time is nearing its end. He believes the regime's grip on power is weakening due to internal divisions and a lack of economic alternatives, as well as growing discontent among Venezuelans who are fed up with the government's failures.

Smolansky also pointed to external pressures, including increased sanctions imposed by the international community in an effort to force Maduro to hold democratic elections. The opposition leader believes that these pressures will soon become too much for Mr. Maduro to handle, leading to a possible power struggle within the ruling party and ultimately the downfall of the regime.

While Smolansky's prediction is far from certain, his comments offer a glimmer of hope for those who have been suffering under the regime's authoritarian rule. The opposition leader's assessment suggests that the situation in Venezuela may soon become even more tumultuous, with significant implications for regional stability and global politics.

Omg u guyz! I'm literally freaking out right now!!! 🤯 David Smolansky is like my ultimate hero, always fighting for democracy and freedom in Venezuela 😩. His prediction about Maduro's regime crumbling soon is like, totally believable tbh 🤓. I mean, who wouldn't want to escape all those economic struggles and power struggles 🤑💸? The international community putting pressure on them with sanctions has gotta be a huge blow 💥. Fingers crossed it happens ASAP so Venezuela can finally get the help they need ❤️. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a better future for the Venezuelans 🤞

looks like venezuela's situation is getting worse by the day 🤯 Maduro's gotta be worried about his time running out... all these sanctions and economic struggles are gonna take a toll on him soon. hope there's someone who can bring some change to that country, ppl deserve better than this 💔

🤔 I'm not surprised at all about this, dude! It feels like Maduro's gonna take a hard fall eventually 😏. Have you seen those protests lately? The people are getting restless, and it's only a matter of time before things get real messy 🌪️. Smolansky might be onto something with the whole internal divisions thing - I mean, have you heard about the power struggles going on within the Maduro camp? It's like they can't even agree on who's in charge 😂. And don't even get me started on those sanctions - that's just a fancy word for "we're gonna make them dance to our tune" 💃. I'm not saying it'll happen tomorrow, but sooner or later, Maduro's regime is gonna be history 🔥.

I'm keeping an eye on what's happening in Venezuela 🌎😬. It's crazy how one person can have so much power and influence over a country. I mean, Maduro's been in charge for ages now, but it sounds like he's got some serious internal demons working against him. 🤯 The sanctions from the international community are definitely having an impact, and if people are fed up with his government's failures, then maybe something will change soon? 🤞 The thing is, Venezuela has been through so much already – food shortages, economic collapse, etc. It'll be a miracle if things start looking up anytime soon 😔.

I'm telling you, something big is about to go down in Venezuela 😏. I've got sources close to the opposition, and they're saying Maduro's regime is on its last legs. The guy's been living under threat of death for years, so he knows what he's talking about. If the sanctions keep piling up and the people get even more fed up with his failed economy, it's only a matter of time before things start to fall apart 🤯.

I'm not saying Maduro is gonna be the first one to go, but you can bet your bottom dollar something major will happen soon. The opposition is getting ready for a push, and if they can get their act together, who knows what might happen? It's all going to play out in front of our eyes on social media, trust me 📱. The world will be watching, and it's gonna be wild.

😬 Maduro's time is up. Not sure what's gonna happen when it does tho... Sanctions are one thing but have they actually worked? Or is this just a bunch of empty words? 🤔 And what about the opposition? They're not exactly in a strong position themselves, if you ask me. It's like they're trying to break the other guy down instead of taking power themselves. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out... 😐
