I'm telling you, this is just another example of corporate greed running amok! I mean, what kind of message does that send to our younger generation? That profits are more important than lives? It's like they're saying, "Hey, if you want to save your life, you can just go out and buy a packet of cigarettes from us!" No wonder Africa is like the Wild West when it comes to tobacco regulation - we need to get our act together as a global community! We can't let these big corporations just push their agenda without any pushback. It's time for some real change, and fast!
I'm so tired of these big corporations thinking they're above the law . BAT is literally trying to undermine public health policies in Africa while profiting off the suffering of people who can't even afford not to smoke . I mean, come on, if you're gonna claim you care about people's lives, then don't be lobbying against laws that aim to save those lives . It's just so rich that they're trying to delay or scrap tobacco advertising bans and graphic health warnings when we all know the harm these products can do . And let's not forget their shady tactics in other countries where tobacco companies have been caught manipulating policies for their own gain . The hypocrisy is just staggering . Can't we just get rid of these profit-driven giants already?!
