Trump unveils Lincoln Bathroom renovation — complete with gold accents: ‘Very appropriate’

President Trump has unveiled his latest White House makeover - the gleaming all-marble Lincoln Bathroom, boasting black and white polished Statuary marble and gold fixtures.

The historic bathroom, situated near the Lincoln Bedroom, underwent a complete transformation as part of Trump's long-standing tradition of revamping the White House interiors with lavish touches of luxury.

According to Trump, the renovation was necessary due to the bathroom's "inappropriate" 1940s-era art deco green tile design, which he deemed unsuitable for the Lincoln Era. Instead, he opted for high-gloss black and white polished Statuary marble, citing its suitability as a nod to Abraham Lincoln's time.

Trump took to his Truth Social platform to share before-and-after images of the bathroom, touting it as "very appropriate" given the era in which it was built. He even jokingly suggested that this could be the original marble used during Lincoln's presidency.

The move aligns with Trump's affinity for grandeur and marble, as evident in his other high-end projects like Mar-a-Lago and Trump Tower. The recent demolition of the East Wing to build a 90,000-square-foot ballroom has sparked controversy over the use of private donors to fund it, but Trump remains optimistic about its reception.

A new poll reveals that only 28% of Americans support the construction of this massive event space, while 56% are opposed to it. Critics have labeled it as a vanity project disregarding White House history, whereas supporters believe Trump is restoring elegance to the building through his restorations.

Trump has taken aim at former President Harry Truman's 1945 renovation of the Lincoln Bedroom and adjoining bathroom earlier this month, labeling it "a style that doesn't go with 1850" in favor of a more fitting design for Abraham Lincoln.

I don't get why he needs to redo the whole bathroom again! 🤷‍♂️ It's still gonna be a bit much for some people. I mean, marble's nice and all, but is it really worth changing something that's been there for 80+ years? And what about the history behind those old tiles... wasn't Truman's renovation already a big deal back in '45? 🤔

I don’t usually comment but... I'm kinda surprised by the whole marble thing. Like, isn’t it just gonna get all white and grey from all the soap and stuff? 🤔 And what's up with Trump thinking he can just slap some gold fixtures on there and make it look like Lincoln's bathroom? It feels like a total Instagram shoot, you know?

And honestly, 56% of Americans don't want to spend 90k square feet of space on some ballroom... that's just a lot of space for, like, parties or something. Can’t they use that for something more useful, like a museum or something? 🤷‍♀️

I guess what I'm saying is... it's an interesting move by Trump to try and make the White House feel fancy again. But can he just chill with the marble for once? 😂

😒 I'm still trying to wrap my head around the all-marble thing. Like, I get it, luxury and grandeur are Trump's vibe, but come on... it's the bathroom, not the main event space! 🚽💦 And what's with the "very appropriate" comment? He's basically saying that a marble bathroom is more fitting for Lincoln than actual facts about his life. I mean, I'm no historian, but I know Lincoln was all about simplicity and humility, right? Not some lavish marble monstrosity 🤯💎. And don't even get me started on the cost... who's footing that bill? 🤑😒

Ugh, this is getting outta hand 🤯... like seriously, dude, who does he think he is? Renovating the White House to fit his own ego, and now this marble bathroom is just another example... I mean, come on, it's not even that impressive. And what's with all these digs at Harry Truman's renovation? That guy was a war hero and president for crying out loud! 🙄 Trump needs to focus on actual issues rather than trying to make himself look good through fancy renovations 💁‍♀️. I'm just waiting for him to try and redecorate the Statue of Liberty next... 😂

The rich history of the White House 🏠👑... I mean, you gotta wonder about Trump's obsession with marble, right? It's like he's trying to give the whole place a fancy spa vibe 🧖‍♂️💅. But seriously, who knew the Lincoln Bathroom had such an ugly 1940s-era design hiding in plain sight? 😳 I'm not sure if it's a good idea to try and recreate the past with, like, super modern marble 🤔.

I feel for those Americans who are opposed to this massive ballroom project. It does sound like a bit of a vanity thing, especially when there are more pressing issues that need attention 💸. But at the same time, I get why Trump wants to bring some elegance back to the White House - it's been through so much history already 🕰️.

It's funny how this whole thing started with Trump poking fun at Harry Truman's renovation... like, what's the tea on that? Was it really as bad as he says? ☕️ I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this all plays out in the end 👀.

omg I just saw pics of the new White House bathroom and I'm like wth what happened to the old art deco tiles lol I mean I get why Trump would wanna change it up but marble everywhere? 😂 it's kinda...much 💃 I don't think I'd want to take a potty break in there it feels more like a fancy showroom than actual bathroom. 🚽 and btw who says marbl is from Lincoln's era? maybe he just wanted to impress his guests with how rich he is? 🤑

I gotta say, I'm kinda digging this all-marble thing 🤩 Trump is definitely adding some serious sparkle to the White House. I mean, can you imagine walking into the bathroom and feeling like you're stepping into history? The gold fixtures are giving me some serious luxury vibes 💃 And let's be real, it's not every day you see a president going all out with a high-end renovation project 🤑 I'm not sure if I agree with Trump on the art deco tiles, but I guess you can't deny that this bathroom is making a statement 💪 Maybe he's trying to prove that even in the 21st century, grandeur never goes out of style?

omg, can u believe trump just dropped this marble bathroom 🤯👀 it's literally like he raided a designer showroom 🛍️ and slapped it on the lincoln bedroom... who needs history when you can have gold fixtures tho 💎😂 28% of americans think it's a good idea? girl, bye 👺 that statuary marble is giving me LIFE 💁‍♀️

LOL @ Trump's marble obsession 🤣 - all-marble everything is so extra 💅🏻. I mean, who needs function over form when you can have a bathroom that looks like it was plucked straight from an opulent palace? 🏰 And what's with the gold fixtures? Is he trying to blind everyone with luxury or something? 😂

But seriously, this renovation is just another example of Trump's ego-trip 🤪. I get that he wants to make the White House feel fancy and luxurious, but come on, can't he just leave some history intact? 🔙 The 1940s art deco design might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's still a part of American history.

And let's talk about this ballroom that's being built - who exactly did we tell the White House to start building an event space for? Private donors are gonna foot the bill, and I'm all for supporting art and culture 🎨... but not at the expense of our national heritage. 🙅‍♀️

I don’t usually comment but I gotta say, what's up with all these marble renovations 🤔💃? Like, Trump's got a thing for all-white everything and it's getting old (no pun intended). The truth is, I think it's pretty cool that he's trying to restore some elegance to the White House, even if his taste in design might be a bit...out there. And can we talk about how weird it is that he's claiming the marble was used during Lincoln's time? Like, no one's gonna fact-check that 💯. But seriously, I think this whole renovation thing is just part of Trump's brand – all about excess and luxury (I mean, a 90k sq ft ballroom is wild 🤯). Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how the rest of the country reacts to this one.

Ugh, another pointless renovation by Trump 🙄. I mean, who even cares about the bathroom? It's not like it's some kind of historic landmark or anything... unless you're just here to gawk at the marble, which I guess is kinda what Trump's all about 💸. And honestly, that green tile design might've been tacky back in the 40s but now it looks retro cool, and who are we to judge? 🤷‍♀️ The real question is, where's the budget coming from for this wild East Wing demolition project? Sounds like more of Trump's 'I don't care what you think' attitude... but hey, at least he's consistent 🙃.

🤯 I'm low-key obsessed with Trump's new White House bathroom 🚽🔥. Like, can you even? The all-marble vibe is giving me major luxury hotel feel 🛍️. I mean, who needs history and character when you can have glistening black and white marble, right? 😂 But for real, what's the point of revamping a historic space just to fit your own ego? It feels like he's trying to outdo himself in every renovation 🏰.

And btw, 28% of Americans are already opposed to that massive event space... I think they're onto something 😒. Is it really necessary for the White House to have a ballroom the size of a convention center? I don't get it 💁‍♀️. Trump's just trying to outshine himself with every renovation, and honestly, it's getting old 🙄.

And can we talk about how he's trashing Truman's 1945 renovation for no reason? Like, come on, Trump, focus on your own mistakes instead of trying to tear others down 💔. Anyway, I'm just here for the bathroom pics... who else is loving this marble masterpiece? 🤗

OMG, what is going on with this dude?! 🤯 I mean, I get it, he likes marble and all, but come on, an entire bathroom makeover just because of the tile design? 😂 It's like, it's from the 40s, deal with it! The art deco vibe is actually kinda rad. And what's up with comparing Truman's renovation to his own masterpieces at Mar-a-Lago? Like, Trump, you're one to talk about luxury and grandeur... 🤑

And those numbers on the new ballroom are wild 🤔. 28% support it? That's like, a whole lotta nope! I'm with the haters on this one. The White House is supposed to be about history and tradition, not some vanity project to stroke Trump's ego 💁‍♂️. Can't he just let things be and focus on actual pressing issues instead of redoing bathrooms? 🤷‍♂️

🤔 I mean, come on, who thought it was a good idea to rip out an entire bathroom just because of the tile design? I get it, Trump likes his marble, but couldn't they've just stuck with what was there in the first place? It's like renovating a classic car and deciding to replace all the original parts for something new. 🚗

And honestly, this whole thing feels like a bit of a publicity stunt to me. I mean, 28% support it? That's not exactly a landslide win. And those who are opposed to it for being a vanity project? I think they've got a point there too. It's just so... over-the-top. 💁‍♀️

I do have to admit though, I'm curious about the gold fixtures and how they're going to hold up in the long run. And is it really necessary to make such a big deal about Lincoln's era? Can't we just appreciate the beauty of the bathroom for what it is without all the fuss? 🤷‍♀️

Ugh 🤦‍♂️, what is Trump thinking?! Spending millions on some fancy marble bathroom in the White House? It's just so extra 💅. I mean, can you imagine if he put that kind of money into something actually important like education or healthcare? But nope, it's all about making himself look rich and fancy 🤑. And now people are paying for it with their private donations? No thanks! 🙄 That's just not right.

And let's be real, the bathroom's design is still pretty ugly 😐, even if it is made of marble. I mean, who thought it was a good idea to put green tile in there? It's like he raided a bad 80s time capsule or something 🕺. Trump's just showing off again and trying to distract us from his real problems 💁‍♂️. The East Wing demolition is still a huge controversy, but who cares about that when you've got marble bathrooms to worry about? 😴

omg is this marble bathroom really necessary? like, i get trump wants to bring back the elegance but cant he just, like, keep some of the original art deco tile design it was kinda cool 🤷‍♀️. and 90k sqft ballroom for what? its not even like a museum or a public event space lol. plus isnt that, like, super expensive to build and fund with private donors 🤑. i dont get why people support this renovation more than others think it's just another example of trump being outta touch with whats important 💁‍♀️.

I don’t usually comment but... I'm kinda surprised by Trump's all-marble makeover 🤔. The Lincoln Bathroom was always an interesting part of the White House history, and now it just feels super luxurious and kinda out of place 🏰. Don't get me wrong, marble is gorgeous and all, but 28% of Americans are against this massive ballroom project? 🤷‍♀️ I think that says something about how polarized people are on Trump's decisions 🌎. And what's up with the comparison to Harry Truman's renovation? Like, isn't there a middle ground between being flashy and staying true to history? 🤔

I'm not sure I buy into Trump's claims that his all-marble Lincoln Bathroom is a nod to Lincoln's time - after all, the guy was an 19th-century industrialist and politician, not a marble expert 🤔. That being said, I do appreciate the opulence of it all - there's something undeniably luxurious about the black and white Statuary marble that Trump has chosen for this bathroom renovation. It does bring to mind the grandeur of the Gilded Age, don't you think? 💡 The fact remains, though, that this seems like a pretty costly indulgence, especially when one considers the controversy surrounding the East Wing demolition project 🤑. Still, I suppose it's all part of Trump's larger vision for restoring elegance to the White House - whether or not we agree with his priorities is up for debate 💬.
