I'm so glad there are people like Nick Hanauer and Gregg Henson speaking out about this! It's crazy that we're still living in a world where civilians can just get taken out without any oversight or due process. Like, what even is the point of having a military if they're just gonna use it to hunt down random people? And yeah, Gregg makes a super valid point about press freedom - if we don't know what's going on, how are we supposed to hold our government accountable? It's all so messed up. Ugh, I'm still fuming about this ... like, seriously how many more times do we need to see innocent civilians getting slaughtered without so much as a whisper of consequence? These US military strikes in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific are just a blatant example of our gov't's utter disregard for human life and basic human rights . And don't even get me started on the narco-terrorist thing - it's like, come on, can we please have some actual facts for once?

And what really gets my goat is that people are just sitting around, nodding their heads in agreement with whatever the gov't wants to tell us. I mean, where's our press corps when you need them? Gregg Henson's right, this whole thing is a huge problem - we need transparency and accountability, not some right-wing influencers peddling fake news .

I swear, if we don't start demanding more from our gov't, we're gonna end up with some kind of dystopian nightmare . We need to be aware of what's going on, and we need to demand answers from our elected officials. Otherwise, we might as well just sit back and watch the whole thing burn ...
