Rahmanullah Lakanwal might be a suspect but freezing asylum decisions for hundreds of thousands of innocent people? that's just crazy! it's like trump wants to punish afghan immigrants for something they didn't even do, just because of one guy. and what about all the afghans who fought alongside american forces in afghanistan? shouldn't they be protected too?
and let's not forget about freshta, a 29-year-old afghan immigrant who came to the us the legal way... but now her asylum application is being terminated due to this pause?! that's just heartbreaking. she and so many others are left wondering about their future in the us.
i don't get why trump would do something like this... didn't he promise to make america great for all people, not just his own base? what happened to the american values of freedom of speech and pursuing your dreams?

This is crazy, what's going on here? Hundreds of thousands of people are being punished for something a guy did... meanwhile, that same guy hasn't even been put on trial yet 
. The whole Afghan community is getting hurt because of one person, it's not fair at all. And the fact that some officials think this will boost national security just doesn't add up 
.It's like they're trying to break these people's spirits and keep them from integrating into American society. Newsflash: refugees are human beings too, with hopes and dreams just like everyone else
. Can't we find a better way to deal with security issues that doesn't involve hurting innocent people?
