'They are going after everything rural': inheritance tax U-turn does little to dampen farmers' anger at Labour

🤔 it's crazy how a policy like this can just fall flat with a community that's already struggling 🌾 farmers are literally working their socks off to keep the food supply going and yet they're still being ignored by the government 👎 it's not just about the tax, it's about feeling seen and heard as rural communities. The fact that some politicians would try to charm their way out of this issue by giving half-hearted gestures like praising farmers for clearing snow is just laughable 😂 we need politicians who will listen to the concerns of rural communities and take concrete action to support them 🚜

🤯 So like, the gov's U-turn on inheritance tax for farms didn't really help, right? 🤔 Stats show 75% of farmers feel gov doesn't understand rural issues, while only 22% trust Labour to support agriculture. 📊 Inheritance tax would've saved farmers £13m on average if it went through - but now they're out that cash. 💸 Charts suggest gov's support for rural communities is decreasing, with a 30% drop in farmer satisfaction since the election 📈 The National Farmers' Union is getting 350,000+ signatures on petitions to support farming & rural communities. 📰 Time will tell if Labour can regain trust...
