omg u guys i'm literally shaking thinking about this so like the us gov is collectin all our info & storin it in 1 big database which sounds super convenient but honestly its scary cuz they can just link everything together & make mistakes or use outdated info lol imagine ur social security number from when ur a green card holder still linked to ur new citizen status wtf what if they try to deport u cuz of some old mistake and these facial recog tools r not foolproof at all i dont know how ppl are gonna get help or clear their record if they even can lol anyway its like super concerning for immigrant rights groups & citizens who just wanna live their lives without bein stalked by DHS
omg this is getting crazy!!! they're basically mixing all our info together like a big ol' spreadsheet... what if someone gets misclassified or their record is outdated?!? i mean, i get it, immigration laws are complicated but can't we just have some sort of data guardian to make sure everything's accurate and up-to-date?!?
and don't even get me started on the facial recognition tools... if they're not 100% reliable how do we trust them?!? i've had issues with my phone recognizing my face just because of a weird hair day... can you imagine if it's wrong for an actual person?!?
i feel so bad for all these people getting detained and questioned without any real cause... like, what about due process or something?!? it's not right. we need to make sure our government is looking out for us, not just for the wealthy and connected folks who can afford a good lawyer
I'm totally on board with this massive data collection effort by the US government... I mean, who doesn't want their personal info being shared and matched across agencies? It's like a big game of digital connect-the-dots! And let's be real, if it means fewer instances of wrongly detained American citizens, then I'm all for it. Like, seriously, what's the worst that could happen when your data gets mixed up with some construction worker's voter registration info? It's not like it'll lead to a full-blown surveillance state or anything...
I'm getting really worried about this ... but I guess it's also an opportunity for us to think about how we can work together to create a more transparent system ? Like, we should totally advocate for better data protection laws so that everyone's info is safe . And, honestly, I don't know how they're supposed to fix all these issues on their own, but maybe it's time to get some experts in there who can help sort everything out ? At the end of the day, we gotta look out for each other and make sure that no one's being unfairly targeted .
omg this is soooo concerning I mean I know we've always had some level of government data collection going on but this sounds like it's getting outta hand . Like, what if they mess up the info or use outdated stuff against us? and naturalized citizens are already getting hit hard with their social sec numbers still linked to their old status... that's just not right . And the fact that detention times are so long before charges even get filed is wild . I'm low-key scared for my friends who have family members going thru this stuff . We need some serious reform ASAP .
I'm getting major concerns about this data collection by the US government... Like, what's the point of having all these agencies merging info if it just means ppl get wrongfully detained? And don't even get me started on facial recognition tools - that's straight up creepy! How are we supposed to trust our own info is being used properly when there's no system in place to correct mistakes or protect us from outdated records? It's like, I get it, security is important, but come on... Can't we find a better way to balance that with some actual human rights and oversight?
