Stop waiting on horror to win Oscars

I dont get why there's still so much fuss about Oscars, tbh? Like, horror movies are doing great on their own without all the flashy recognition 🤷‍♀️. And yeah, I know A24 and Neon have helped put horror on the map, but let's not forget they also market their films super hard 💁‍♀️. I mean, if a film is actually good, who cares what awards it wins? Its not like the Oscars are the only measure of a movie's quality 🎥. And honestly, horror has always been all about pushing boundaries and being fearless, so maybe we should just appreciate it for that instead of trying to polish it up like some fancy Hollywood production 💔.

🤔 I'm still waiting to see some big-name stars in horror films get recognized at the Oscars. Toni Collette's snub was a huge one and I'm not surprised she didn't make it. Demetri Moore losing out on an Oscar nomination is super frustrating, though - The Substance is an amazing film! 🤮 A24 and NEON are killing it with their indie horror movies, but sometimes I wish Hollywood would take more risks with bigger names in the genre. Horror's been making waves for years now, let's give credit where credit is due without relying on Oscar nods to legitimize it. 🎃

I think horror is defo already won the game lol 😂👻. People are like "oh why aren't they getting Oscars" but honestly its all about what resonates with us on a deeper level you feel? I mean The Witch and Hereditary were both super unsettling in their own ways, and that's what draws people in. And let's be real, A24 is basically the horror hub rn 🎥👻

I feel you 🤗! It's like, we're already celebrating these incredible horror films and yet people still expect Oscars to validate their existence? I mean, what even is the point of validation in this case? We already know that A24 and Neon are killing the game with innovative horror films 💥 And at the end of the day, it's not about the awards, it's about the thrill, the scare, and the emotional ride 🎃 Can't we just appreciate these filmmakers for taking risks and pushing boundaries without all the extra hype?

OMG, I'm so done with people saying horror films need to be "prestige" to be taken seriously 🙄. Like, have you seen some of the crazy stuff these indie filmmakers are pushing out? Coralie Fargeat's The Substance is literally a masterclass in style and tension - who needs Oscars for that?! 😎 A24 and NEON might be pros at marketing, but it's the films themselves that are doing all the heavy lifting. And let's not forget, horror fans have always been about embracing the weird and unconventional 🤪. It's time to give credit where credit is due - these filmmakers are making waves without needing a bunch of fancy awards to back them up 💥

I think its so sick how the Oscars still cant appreciate a good horror flick 🤯, like The Substance was lowkey fire and deserved more recognition. It's not about the gore or violence, its about the storytelling and atmosphere that makes you jump out of your seat 😱. I've been saying this for years, but people need to look past the marketing hype and just watch the film for what it is 🎬. And let's be real, A24 and NEON are doing more for horror than any award show could ever do 👍.
