High School Basketball Scores: Saturday's Thrilling Matches
The high school basketball scene is always on the move, with teams across various leagues and conferences showcasing their skills. On Saturday, several matches were played that caught our attention.
At the top of the list was St. Francis de Sales who cruised past Providence-St. Mel 65-36 to secure a big win. Kaneland put up an impressive show against Sycamore going into overtime before emerging victorious with a score of 73-68. Rochelle also made headlines by beating Morris 64-60.
On the other side of town, Johnsburg was on fire as they defeated Marengo 75-46. Richmond-Burton, meanwhile, had an impressive performance against Sandwich with a final score of 67-44. The Woodstock school secured another win against Plano with a margin of victory of 68-55.
In the Southwestern Prairie West conference, Oswego emerged victorious over Yorkville with a final score of 56-43. Ottawa Marquette also made headlines by beating Putnam County 55-43 in their match.
However, it was Addison Trail who had an impressive performance against Argo 50-42. Barrington and Maine South also put up good shows, with scores of 58-51 and 45-26 respectively.

In the East Moline conference, Downers Grove North defeated Sherrard 58-55 while Rock Island beat Waubonsie Valley with a final score of 59-47. Wheaton-Warrenville South also had an impressive performance against East Moline with a margin of victory of 40-39.
The Kankakee conference saw Corliss emerge victorious over Highland Park 55-49, while Crane defeated Richards 72-43. Hillcrest and Kankakee both secured wins in their matches, beating Kenwood 67-45 and Hyde Park 53-37 respectively. Lincoln Park also had a notable win against Peoria Richwoods with a final score of 67-64.
In the Noble League Tournament's first round, Rowe-Clark defeated Noble Street 46-15 while Muchin beat Golder 56-48. DRW emerged victorious over Mansueto 53-44, and Speer had an impressive performance against Pritzker with a final score of 60-57.
