'Russia is advancing towards multiple areas in the Donbas region'

Russia is pushing into multiple areas in the war-torn Donbas region, with a particularly devastating impact on the once-thriving city of Pokrovsk.

Eyewitness accounts paint a grim picture of destruction that goes far beyond the physical devastation wrought by the conflict. The streets of this former hub are now eerily quiet as residents and Ukrainian authorities have stripped everything of value from the town - its library, hospital equipment, industrial machinery, leaving behind a once-bustling settlement with over 60,000 people at its core.

Experts warn that Pokrovsk's collapse could signal the final days for Ukrainian control in this strategically significant area. The sheer scale of destruction and loss is sending shockwaves throughout Ukraine, as it grapples with the consequences of losing a key piece of its territory to Russia.

I don’t usually comment but... I feel so bad for the people of Pokrovsk 🤕. It's like they've lost everything - not just their homes and belongings, but also their sense of security and community. The thought of those 60,000 residents being forced to flee or leave behind everything they know is heartbreaking 😩. And to think that all this destruction was caused by the conflict... it's just so sad 💔. I don't understand why war has to be so brutal and devastating. Can't we just talk things out instead of resorting to violence? 🤷‍♂️ I hope Ukraine can find a way to recover from this and rebuild their lives, and that peace can be found soon ❤️.

🤕💔 Don't wanna think about Pokrovsk rn... 😩 All that destruction & people leaving... what's left? 🏙️ Those 60k ppl must be super lost & confused... 🤯 where's their future now? 📚 Hospital stuff, libraries... all gone?! 💀 industrial machines... abandoned like zombies... 🗿️ Russia's moves are really taking a toll on Ukraine... 😬 hope the Ukrainian ppl can bounce back from this 💪

.. this is like, a major wake-up call for us all 🤯. Think about what's happening in Pokrovsk, it's not just buildings and stuff that are getting destroyed, it's the fabric of community, people's livelihoods... everything that makes life worth living is being stripped away 💔. We need to be mindful of how we treat our own communities, you know? It's easy to take things for granted until they're gone, but when they are, it can be devastating 😕. Let's try to learn from this and be more thoughtful about what matters most in life 🤝.

"It seems like the die has been cast, the die is irrevocably made..." 😱 I'm really worried about what's happening in Donbas region. The scale of destruction and loss is just devastating. Ukraine needs to find a way to hold on to this strategic area or risk losing more ground. 🤔

oh man, pokrovsk is like a ghost town rn... can't believe all that's been taken away from the city 🤯. 60k people used to call this place home and now it's just a shell of what it once was. industrial machinery, library, hospital equipment... everything just stripped away leaving nothing behind. 😢. experts say it's like the final nail in the coffin for ukraine's control over donbas. i feel bad for the people who have to live with this mess. can't help but wonder how many more cities will fall like pokrovsk 🤕.

omg this is so sad 😩 what happened to pokrovsk? i cant even imagine how scary it must be for those people who are still there now they dont have anything left 🤕 and its not just the stuff that got taken, its also the whole sense of community and life that got stripped away from them. 🌎 like, 60k people were living in this town and now its basically abandoned 💔 ukraine is really struggling here and i can only imagine how hard it must be for the people who are trying to keep their country together 👊
