Robin Hood review – Sean Bean gifts us the most gloriously bad TV offering of the year

Robin Hood Review: A Gloriously Bad TV Offering That's a Delightful Romp Through Mediocrity.

As autumn leaves behind, winter is just around the corner, and what better way to usher in the festive season than with a piece of fantasy/folkloric tomfoolery? This year's offering is none other than Robin Hood, starring Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham. And let's be honest, who wouldn't want to see Sean Bean wielding his authority like a seasoned pro?

But it's not just about the star power – or lack thereof. The show has cleverly sidestepped one of its biggest pitfalls: bad wigs. Instead, our hero and his men are blessed with some delightfully bad haircuts, which is a win-win in my book.

The show's writing is where things get really interesting. The opening caption sets the tone for what promises to be a hilarious romp through medieval England, free from any assumed knowledge or bias. It's a refreshing change of pace that immediately puts you at ease.

Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "But isn't this just going to be another generic retelling of the classic tale?" Fear not, dear reader, for Robin Hood is more than just a retread of familiar storylines. The show tackles themes like Norman laws and Christianity being forced upon the Saxon people, and it's done with a tongue firmly in cheek.

The production design is where the magic happens. Chainmailed Norman soldiers felled by honest Saxon arrows, faerie boobs aplenty – it's all here, and it's glorious. The CGI castle, manor house, and surrounding outbuildings are a marvel to behold, even if the drama doesn't quite move at the galloping pace you might expect from the genre.

And then there's Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham – because who wouldn't want to see that? His daughter Priscilla is a medieval nymphomaniac with a penchant for seducing guards, but don't worry, she also listens in on her father and Huntingdon's schemes. It's all about finding a balance between drama and humor.

Look, let's face it: Robin Hood is terrible. But by any objective measure, that's not going to stop anyone from enjoying themselves. If you go into this with the right attitude, you'll be having more fun than you ever thought possible.

In short, Robin Hood is a gloriously bad TV offering that's a delightful romp through mediocrity. And if it's not for you, well, there's always Sean Bean's next project to look forward to – all paid for by the goodwill generated from this show. No wigs? Rejoice!

omg, i'm literally obsessed with how they've executed the production design on robin hood 🤩 those chainmailed soldiers and faerie boobs are EVERYTHING, lol. and can we talk about sean bean as the sheriff of nottingham? he's like, totally owning that role 😂. but seriously, what i love most is how they're poking fun at traditional retellings of the robin hood story. it's all so cleverly done, from the wigs (no bad haircuts here!) to the tongue-in-cheek approach to medieval politics 🤓 and honestly, if someone told me this was gonna be terrible, i'd have been super disappointed 😐. but yeah, robin hood might just be a total guilty pleasure 🎄

lolol i gotta say, robin hood looks like a total mess but in a weird way, thats kinda what makes it entertaining 🤣 i mean who wouldn't want to watch sean bean being his usual awesome self as sheriff of nottingham 🧙‍♂️? and omg the wigs are gone lol that alone is worth watching. plus its all about finding that balance between drama and humor, sounds like its gonna be a wild ride 😂

lol what's up with medieval TV shows tho 🤣 like, can't they just have bad wigs already 🎭 robin hood sounds like a total mess but in a good way? i mean who doesn't love sean bean being the sheriff of nottingham? it's like he's having the time of his life on set 😂 and those chainmailed normans getting taken down by saxon arrows is just glorious 💥 the production design looks insane, can't wait to see what other ridiculousness they come up with 🎬

omg u gotta watch robin hood its soooo funny 😂 sean bean as sheriff of nottingham is EVERYTHING 💁‍♂️ he's like the king of cheesy lines and over-the-top performances i mean what's not to love about a show that pokes fun at itself and doesn't take anything too seriously 🤣 plus those medieval costumes are on point 👗

I love how they're poking fun at themselves and the show's cheesy bits 🤣. It's refreshing to see someone embracing the campiness of it all instead of trying to take it seriously. The production design sounds like a real treat, especially with the CGI details 😍. I'm intrigued by the themes they're tackling, like Norman laws and Christianity being forced on the Saxon people - it's not something you see often in adaptations of this story 🤔. And let's be real, Sean Bean is a big part of this show, and I'm all for giving him more to do 😜. Overall, if you're looking for a lighthearted, fun watch with some great production values, Robin Hood might be the perfect choice for you 👍.

omg u guys i just watched robin hood and its literally so bad its good lol sean bean as sheriff of nottingham is a whole thing and his daughter priscilla is like a medieval nymphomaniac it's crazy but somehow works the production design is insane with chainmailed soldiers and faerie boobs everywhere 🤣 the writing is clever too tackling themes like norman laws and christianity being forced on the saxons with a tongue in cheek tone it's definitely not for everyone but if u go in expecting a good time ur probs gonna get one 🎉

I'm still loving my platform 🤩, and shows like Robin Hood are exactly why - they know how to have fun with a classic tale without taking themselves too seriously 😂. The production design is insane, I mean who doesn't love a good CGI castle fight scene? 🏰 And Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham? Genius casting choice 👏. It's all about embracing the cheesiness and having a laugh at yourself, right? 😄

omg I am SO down with #RobinHood being a gloriously bad TV offering 🤣 it's like they took every cliche and mashed them all together into one hilarious mess! I mean, who needs good writing when you can just have a bunch of funny haircuts 😂? And let's be real, Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham is already selling me #SlayingIt. The production design is also 🔥 I love how they didn't take themselves seriously and just went all out with the fantasy elements. It's like they said "you know what, we're not going to make a good show, let's make a funny one instead!" 🎉

omg i'm dyin over robin hood!!! 🤣 sean bean as the sheriff is EVERYTHING and those haircuts are GOALS 💇‍♂️😂 but what really gets me is how the show pokes fun at itself and doesn't take itself too seriously lol. and omg the production design is SO COOL 🔥 i mean, who wouldn't want to see chainmailed norman soldiers get taken down by saxon arrows? 🤪

omg u gotta check out this new tv show robin hood 🤣 its like so bad its good lol sean bean as sherif nottingham is literally the best thing about it 😂 and dont even get me started on the production design all those medieval battles with magic and whatnot... it looks soooo cool 👻 but i guess thats just it - its a gloriously bad show that u should def watch w/ the right mindset 🎥 watch it now: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1274168/

😂 I gotta say, Robin Hood sounds like a right ol' mess of a show - in the best possible way. It's like they took every cliché from medieval England and mashed them all together into one big plate of entertainment gold. The production design is straight fire 🔥, but I'm not sure if the writing is subtle enough for my taste. Sean Bean as the Sheriff? Yeah, it's a win in my book too! 👍 And honestly, who needs good drama when you've got CGI faeries and chainmail soldiers being felled by arrows? 🤣 The whole thing seems like a love letter to ridiculousness - I'm totally here for it. Let's just hope someone picks up the bill for Sean Bean's next project...

I mean, have you seen Robin Hood on Netflix lately? It's like they took every cliche from a medieval fantasy and mashed them all together into one big mess 🤣. But in a weird way, that's kinda what makes it so good? I don't know, maybe it's just the fact that Sean Bean is just so... Sheriff of Nottingham-y 😂.

But for real though, their handling of historical events is actually pretty interesting, especially with how they tackle Norman laws and Christianity being forced on the Saxons. It's like they're poking fun at all these assumptions we make about history in a really clever way 🤓.

And can we talk about the production design for a second? I mean, the castle and manor house are straight out of a fantasy novel, it's amazing! But what's even more impressive is how they balance drama with humor. It's like they're saying "we know this is ridiculous, but let's have fun with it anyway" 😄.

I guess my point is that sometimes you just have to enjoy something for what it is – a gloriously bad TV show that's actually kinda delightful 🎉.

omg i remember watching robin hood with my family back in 2006 🤣 they made sean bean sooo bad as sheriff of nottingham lol and that's when i realized how cheesy the whole thing was but in a good way, you know? i think its refreshing to see someone be like "yeah this show is bad but im gonna enjoy it anyway" lol. i just wish they would make more shows like robin hood back then, something with so much humor and not too serious 🙃

man, i'm so here for robin hood as a gloriously bad tv offering lol 🤣 it's like they took every medieval fantasy cliche and mashed them all together into one big mess of awesomeness. sean bean is already selling me just by being in it, but seriously his character as the sheriff is just perfect - i mean who wouldn't want to see him get roasted? 😂 and those bad wigs are actually a nice touch. but what really gets me is how they're tackling some heavy themes like norman laws and christianity vs saxons without taking themselves too seriously, it's like they're poking fun at the whole "historical epic" thing.

and that production design? wow, i mean, chainmail getting broken by saxon arrows is just the best 🤩. i love how they're not afraid to go big or go home with their CGI. it's just so campy and fun, like they're winking at you the whole time saying "hey, we know this is ridiculous, but come along for the ride!" 😜

I just binge-watched Robin Hood and I gotta say, it's a wild ride 🤪! They totally pulled off making a bad TV show with actually good parts 😂. The production design is insane, I mean who wouldn't want to see Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham wielding his authority? And the humor is on point, it's like they knew exactly what kind of cheesy fun people wanted 🤣.

But seriously, the way they tackled themes like Norman laws and Christianity being forced upon the Saxon people is actually pretty cool 💡. It's not your typical Robin Hood retelling, it's more like a funny commentary on how things went down in medieval England 🤷‍♂️.

I loved how they poked fun at the show itself, using bad wigs to their advantage and playing with expectations 🎭. And let's be real, who wouldn't want to watch Sean Bean get his butt kicked by a bunch of Saxon rebels? 😂

I'm not gonna lie, I was prepared to hate Robin Hood, but it genuinely surprised me with how much fun it was 😆. If you're looking for a mindless, feel-good TV show, this might be the one for you 🎬.

oh man i just watched robin hood and its like the most over-the-top thing ive ever seen lol sean bean as the sheriff of nottingham is literally the best thing in this show he's got that whole 'evil authority figure' vibe down pat 😂 but seriously the writing is so clever it pokes fun at all the classic tale tropes while still managing to have some depth to it i mean they tackle some heavy themes like norman laws and christianity being forced on the saxons but in a way thats more playful than preachy

and omg the production design is insane 🤯 the cgi castle and manor house are straight fire but at the same time the drama feels a bit rushed its all about embracing the badness of robin hood tho so if you go in with the right mindset youre gonna have a blast watching this show

I'm so down for a bad TV show that's actually good at being bad 🤣. I mean, who needs high production value when you've got over-the-top drama and ridiculous plot twists? The way they're poking fun at the classic Robin Hood story is genius – it's like they're saying "hey, we know this is cheesy, but let's own it!" And that Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham is just pure gold 🤑. I'm not gonna lie, my expectations were low going into this show, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had watching it 😊. It's like they took all the things that could go wrong and intentionally made them worse – bad wigs, cheesy one-liners, and a plot that's just a mess 🤪. But somehow, it all works? Maybe it's just because it's so ridiculously bad that you can't help but enjoy it? Either way, I'm glad I watched it 😊.

OMG, I'm SO down for a good ol' fashioned bad TV show 🤣📺 Robin Hood is literally the perfect watch if you wanna have a LOL fest while watching medieval England go down 🔥💇‍♂️ I mean, who needs good writing or historical accuracy when you can just have Sean Bean being awesome as the Sheriff of Nottingham? 😎 His daughter Priscilla is also giving me LIFE with her sassy behavior and guard-seduction skills 💁‍♀️👀 And don't even get me started on the production design - it's like a medieval dream come true 🏰🔮 Overall, if you're looking for a guilty pleasure show that'll have you giggling uncontrollably, Robin Hood is your go-to #RobinHood #MedievalMayhem #SeanBeanForever 💕
