Primark recall: Customers told to stop using baby product "immediately"

US Retailer Primark Issues Urgent Recall of Baby Product Amid Safety Concerns

In a move aimed at protecting consumers, fashion retailer Primark has initiated an immediate recall of its 2-Pack Soother Clip (Baby Bear) and Balloon products. The affected items feature cloth straps with wooden buttons to clip onto children's clothing, designed to hold pacifiers.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall notice for the product, citing potential choking and laceration hazards posed by the wooden buttons' tendency to detach. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and return it to any Primark store for a full refund.

According to Primark, around 1,330 units of the recalled products were sold in select stores across the Northeast, Florida, Maryland, and Illinois between June and August this year, at a retail price of $5. In five reported cases, the wooden buttons detached, resulting in one instance where a screw was found inside an infant's mouth and another case involving a child's arm injury.

Primark has acknowledged that the product "does not meet our usual high safety standards." Consumers can reach out to Primark's customer service at 617-946-3236 (8 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET, Monday-Friday) or online at the company's recall webpage.

The recall notice does not specify an end-date for the affected products, emphasizing the urgent need for consumers to take action and ensure their safety.

🚨 This is so concerning! I mean, I get it, accidents can happen but a whole pack of baby gear that can cause serious harm? It's gotta be taken seriously. I'm surprised they didn't catch this sooner. Primark should've been more thorough in testing their products before releasing them to the market. πŸ€”

But honestly, as a parent, you're always on high alert when it comes to your little one's safety. And if there's even a slightest chance that something can cause harm, you want to take action ASAP. I'm glad Primark is taking responsibility and recalling these products.

It's also good that they're providing clear instructions on what to do next. It's not like they're leaving people in the dark or anything πŸ™. Although, one thing does have me thinking... how did this happen in the first place? Did someone miss something during quality control? Or was it just a case of human error? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Either way, it's good that Primark is owning up to it and making things right. πŸ‘

omg thats so worrisome Primark is being super responsible by recalling those baby clips ASAP i mean, who wants a wooden button just chillin in someones mouth or arm? πŸ€•πŸš¨ at least they're taking responsibility & offering refunds i hope no one was seriously hurt from these incidents gotta keep an eye on our kids safety though πŸ‘ΆπŸ’ͺ

This just got weird πŸ€”... a company like Primark, which is all about fast fashion and cheap stuff, suddenly decides to issue a recall of one of its most affordable baby products? I mean, what were they thinking? $5 retail price for a product that's been reported to detach and cause injuries? That sounds way too sketchy for me 🚨.

So Primark is saying the product "does not meet their usual high safety standards"? Is that like a standard they set themselves, or are they just now realizing this? And how did we not catch on sooner? I need some sources to back up these claims before I believe it πŸ’‘.

omg u guys I just got back from florida with my fam and we were like soooo excited to buy some adorable pacifier clips for baby emily πŸ˜‚ but then I saw this recall notice on primark's website and i was like "wait whatttt?!" 🀯 1,330 units sold?! that's a lot of parents who might be in danger! πŸ’” i mean i know it's just a little wooden button thingy but safety first, you know? πŸ™ and 5 reported cases already? 😨 yeah let's all just take this one step at a time and make sure we're getting refunds ASAP. i'm gonna go call primark right now to check on the process πŸ“ž

OMG 🀯 just saw that Primark is recalling some of its baby products due to safety concerns 😱 I mean, who knew wooden buttons could be so hazardous? πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ 1,330 units were sold in the US and it's crazy to think about how many parents are using these products without even knowing there's a recall out! πŸ’Έ The fact that they're offering refunds is good, but what about people who don't know how to get in touch with Primark? πŸ€” It would be so much easier if they could just return the product online or something. πŸ›οΈ Anyway, safety first, right? πŸ‘ΆπŸ’•

omg guys be super careful with your babies πŸ‘ΆπŸ’‘ primark is being super responsible by recalling these products ASAP 🚨 can't stress enough how important it is to keep those wooden buttons out of reach of little ones πŸ’― 1,330 units might not seem like a lot but accidents can happen to anyone πŸ˜” don't risk it, return the product and get a full refund - primark's got your back 🀝

omg u guys primark is literally doing everything right here they're being super responsible & transparent about the whole thing i mean who needs a recall anyway but seriously i'm so proud of them for putting customers first over profits πŸ™ŒπŸ’― it's also pretty scary to think about the wooden buttons detaching and all that so let's just get those products back and make sure they're safe πŸ’•

🚨 OMG, this is crazy! I mean, who knew those wooden buttons could be so hazardous? One second, a pacifier clip is all you need, next you're worried about screws getting stuck in tiny mouths or little arms getting hurt. πŸ€• It's good that Primark is taking responsibility and recalling the product ASAP. But 1,330 units were sold already?! That's like, how many parents were completely oblivious to this issue? πŸ˜‚ And I'm curious, have we been buying these products for years without anyone noticing? πŸ€” Either way, it's a good reminder to always check those safety standards before letting our little ones play with anything. πŸ‘ΆπŸ’ͺ

omg this is so scary! i had no idea about these wooden buttons being a choking hazard 🀯🚨 like what if they just snap off? my friend has a baby and she's always worried about things like this 😬 so yeah primark should've tested it more thoroughly before selling it in stores. 1,330 units sold is not many but still how do we know there won't be any other cases? πŸ€” i'm definitely going to call primark's customer service line and get some answers πŸ“žπŸ’¬

Just heard about this one and I gotta say, as a grandma myself, it's always good to see companies taking responsibility when it comes to product safety. It's crazy that those wooden buttons could detach and cause harm to little ones... my grandkids would never get away with something like that! 🀯😳 Anyway, the fact that Primark is being proactive about this recall and offering a full refund is a great start. I hope parents in affected areas are getting the message and taking action ASAP πŸ‘

man this is wild that something as simple as a pacifier clip can be so hazardous like what even are we doing right now to ensure our kids safety i mean primark is trying to do the right thing but it just goes to show how easily things can go wrong sometimes these wooden buttons, they're tiny pieces of wood just waiting to cause harm and it's all because of a design flaw or lack thereof

we need to ask ourselves what are we doing as consumers to hold companies accountable for our safety primark might say they don't meet their usual standards but where were they in the first place? was there some kind of oversight or negligence at play?

anyway i hope everyone gets that pacifier clip removed ASAP

Ugh, this is so worrisome... a child got hurt because of a faulty product from Primark and now they're recalling 1,330 units... wooden buttons can detach easily and cause serious injuries πŸ€•πŸ’” that's just not okay. I mean, you'd think a company like Primark would have better quality control in place to prevent such accidents... the fact that it took five reported cases for them to take action is pretty alarming too 😬

omg this is so sad πŸ€• I remember when my little cousins used to use those soothers clip, it was a lifesaver for them when they were fussy. but I guess that's exactly why Primark needs to be more careful with the materials they use. 1,330 units being recalled is still crazy though, can you believe that many people already had to deal with this issue? and now they have to go back to their stores just to get a refund... it's like going all the way back in time, remember when we used to return things at physical stores instead of online? πŸ™„ anyway, I hope Primark gets it right this time and that no more babies get hurt because of something so simple.

OMG I'M SO GLAD PRIMARK IS TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY!!! πŸš¨πŸ’― i mean who wants a screw in their kid's mouth?!?! that's just crazy talk! 🀯 anyway it's great they're being proactive about this and making sure people don't get hurt. 1320 units sold in like 4 months? that's pretty surprising, but yeah safety first right? πŸ’• i'm definitely gonna make sure to spread the word so no one else has to go through this πŸ˜…

Omg 🀯 just found out about this recall and I'm so relieved Primark is taking responsibility for this! 1,330 units sold in 5 states, that's still a lot of babies' lives at risk 😬 but glad they're prioritizing consumer safety πŸ™Œ. Detached wooden buttons can be super scary, and now consumers have the option to get a refund or return the product πŸ›οΈ. It's all about being proactive and taking care of our little ones ❀️. Primark might've let their guard down this time but it's better late than never πŸ•°οΈ! Let's hope they're learning from this experience and upping their safety game πŸ’ͺ

omg this is so crazy! i mean primark thinks they can just sell these tiny clip thingies that can basically dismember a child's arm and nobody bats an eye... it's not about being paranoid or anything, it's just common sense! what if the screw gets stuck in their throat? what if the wood splinters and hurts them?
i feel bad for the parents who bought these products and didn't know about the recall yet. i hope primark takes responsibility for this and makes sure to do a better job of testing their stuff before selling it. shouldn't be that hard, right? anyway, lets keep an eye on this and make sure our kids are safe! πŸš¨πŸ’”

I mean, come on πŸ™„... Primark is finally getting its act together! I was literally waiting for them to issue a recall like this. 1,330 units sold in select stores? That's not even a big number considering how many products they sell each year. But you know what the worst part is? Some parents didn't even check the product before buying it for their kids πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ... still, gotta give Primark props for taking responsibility and proactively recalling the product. And $5 retail price? That's like, super cheap for a potentially hazardous product πŸ’Έ. Anyway, glad they're being safe now, but I'm also kinda curious about how this happened in the first place πŸ€”

Ugh 🀯 this is so frustrating! I mean, can't they get it right? 1,330 units sold and already there are injuries? That's just crazy 😱. And you know what's even crazier? They're still selling the product without proper testing? Like, what were they thinking? πŸ”. The fact that wooden buttons can detach is just a recipe for disaster. I'm glad Primark is taking responsibility and issuing a recall, but it's about time πŸ™„. Consumers deserve better safety standards from major retailers like this. πŸ’―

🚨 Safety first! I'm so glad Primark is taking responsibility for this mistake 😊. Those wooden buttons are just too much of a risk, especially for little ones 🀯. I mean, who needs a $5 pacifier clip when you could be looking at a lawsuit? 😳 The fact that they acknowledged their product "does not meet our usual high safety standards" is huge πŸ’―.

So, to all the parents out there, please don't use those clips! Get your little ones safe and happy πŸ‘ΆπŸ’•. I'm sure Primark will get those wooden buttons replaced ASAP πŸ’ͺ. Meanwhile, let's give them a break and hope this is just a one-time mistake 🀞.
