Pat McAfee sends harsh message to ESPN amid YouTube TV standoff

YouTube TV customers are being dealt a harsh blow in the ongoing standoff with Disney over the rights to broadcast ABC and ESPN programming. The dispute has already resulted in a full weekend of college football action being missed, leaving fans fuming.

The latest jab at the impasse comes from Pat McAfee, an ESPN personality who is also a YouTube TV subscriber himself. In a statement that appears to be directed at his own network, McAfee said "We're all done with it" in a veiled criticism of Disney's stance on pricing.

McAfee expressed frustration with his network, saying that instead of negotiating with customers directly, they are directing them to a website to save money. He called for the companies to put aside their differences and come to an agreement, stating "We need each other."

The spat has now reached the NFL, with Pat McAfee using the platform to urge both parties to resolve their dispute. He also offered some advice - "let's just not do that." This was seen as a clear call for both Disney and YouTube TV to put aside their differences in favor of what is best for sports fans.

However, a recent offer from YouTube TV suggests that customers will be left out in the cold unless an agreement can be reached. With this latest development, it remains to be seen whether Pat McAfee's advice will have any impact on resolving the dispute.

Ugh 🤦‍♂️, can't believe what's going on here! I'm a huge sports fan and I just want to watch my college football games without missing out 😩. The fact that Disney and YouTube TV can't even agree on pricing is ridiculous 💸. Pat McAfee is spot on when he says they need each other 🤝. It's like they're not listening to the fans at all 👂.

And what's with the website thing? Can't they just talk it out instead of making customers jump through hoops 🔄? I mean, I get that business is business, but come on! Let's put sports fans first here ⚡️. This whole thing is getting old 🙄. When are they going to resolve this dispute already?! 🤔

its like dis 🤷‍♂️
so youtubers tv is all like "save money" and direct ppl 2 a website 📊
but then espn dude pat mcfee is all like "lets just not do that" 😒
i feel him tho. sports fans dont care about corporate drama 🏈💪
just give us the games and the prices will sort it out 💸👍

Wow 💸💔 ESPN personalities need to step up and show some empathy towards their fans! I mean, who wants to miss out on live college football? 🏈 It's not just about the money, it's about giving the people what they want. Pat McAfee is right, we do need each other here... let's resolve this already 🤞🏼 Interesting how YouTube TV is playing hard to get over this one 😬

I don’t usually comment but... I feel so bad for all these sports fans who are getting screwed by this whole thing 🤕. It’s like, can’t Disney and YouTube TV just work something out? They need each other to bring us that football action we love, right? 😂 And Pat McAfee is totally right, it's time for them to put aside their differences and think about what's best for the fans. I mean, come on, who wants to be stuck in the cold when there’s a game on? 🤦‍♂️ Not me, that’s for sure! The NFL needs to step in too and help mediate this whole thing... let’s just not do that, am I right? 😅

ugh this is getting so frustrating for everyone involved 🤦‍♂️ I mean I get that Disney and YouTube TV need to make a profit but come on how can't they see that fans are suffering because of it? Pat McAfee is right we do need each other here, sports fans deserve better than to be left out in the cold. Can't they just sit down and talk about this instead of making empty threats 🤔
