Pamela Anderson Teases Role in Michael Cera’s Absurdist Comedy ‘Love Is Not the Answer’: ‘I Got to Play a Really Interesting Woman’

Pamela Anderson Teases Role in Michael Cera's Absurdist Comedy "Love Is Not the Answer"

Actress Pamela Anderson has been teasing her role in upcoming comedy film "Love Is Not the Answer," directed by Michael Cera. At the WWD Style Awards, where she was honored as Beauty Icon of the Year, Anderson spoke about her latest project, saying it was a "wild experience" and that she got to play an "interesting woman."

Anderson, known for her critically-acclaimed role in 2025's "The Last Showgirl," which earned her a Golden Globe nomination, described her character as "precise yet unpredictable." The film promises to explore modern loneliness and the search for connection through humor and heartbreak.

While release details have not been revealed, Anderson expressed excitement about the project, stating that she had just returned to her blonde hair and felt like she could finally let go of her character. She declined to reveal more about the plot or her specific role, saying "you have to see it for yourself."

Anderson has been on a hot streak since her last critically-acclaimed performance, appearing in films such as August's "The Naked Gun," which was honored with Best Comedy at the Critics Choice Awards. When asked about her favorite comedy film, Anderson revealed that she is a fan of 1979's "The Jerk," while also drawing inspiration from classic French cinema and iconic style.

With another big comedy project on the horizon, Anderson shared her style inspirations, citing French New Wave cinema as an influence. She also spoke about her upcoming projects, which include Kornél Mundruczó's drama "Place to Be" and Karim Aïnouz's "Rosebush Pruning," featuring Elle Fanning and Riley Keough.

At the Style Awards ceremony, Anderson was joined by other honorees, including Hailey Bieber, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, and Demi Moore. Moore, who received the Fashion Icon of the Year award, credited her stylist Brad Goreski for helping her to feel confident and beautiful.

The ceremony also honored George Clooney, who accepted a posthumous Red Carpet Visionary honor for late designer Giorgio Armani. In his speech, Clooney praised Richard Gere for putting Armani on the map, saying "since he couldn’t show up, and you know, fuck him."

OMG u guys Pamela Anderson is back and this time she's starring in a comedy film w/ Michael Cera lol I'm so down to see her play an "interesting woman" whatever that means 🤣. I love how she just said the movie was a wild experience and that we need to see it for ourselves tho, like typical Pamela 😉. Can't wait to hear more about the plot, but also not sure if it's gonna be funny or emotional... either way, I'm rooting for her! 💖

I'm low-key super excited about Pamela Anderson's new project! She's been killing it in films lately and I love how she's taking on more absurdist comedy roles. The fact that Michael Cera is directing adds an extra layer of intrigue - I've always been a fan of his dry wit and quirky sense of humor. And can we talk about her style inspiration? French New Wave cinema is giving me all the vibes! 💁‍♀️🎬 It's great to see Pamela drawing from classic sources for her aesthetic, it makes her look even more effortless and chic. I'm curious to see how she'll play this "interesting woman" in the film - with that kind of talent, I have no doubt it'll be a wild ride! 😄

🙄 So I'm thinking Pamela Anderson is just having a blast with all these new projects. She's been killing it lately, like that one movie where she's the lead and people are totally obsessed 🤣. And now this absurdist comedy thingy... I don't know what to expect but it sounds interesting! The fact that Michael Cera is directing means it'll probably be all quirky and offbeat, which could be awesome 🎥. The only thing that's got me a bit worried is how she's gonna transition back into blonde hair after rocking that new look in her last film 😂.

😂 I think Pamela Anderson is being super secretive about her role in "Love Is Not the Answer" but it's gotta be interesting with Michael Cera directing 🤔. He's like a comedy genius and has done some wild stuff before. I'm guessing she plays someone who's, you know, kinda quirky? 🤷‍♀️ Like Pamela Anderson is known for being unpredictable on screen anyway. 🙃

Pamela Anderson's new project sounds like a wild ride! I'm loving her enthusiasm for this absurdist comedy, especially after her critically-acclaimed role in "The Last Showgirl". She's been on fire lately, and I'm curious to see how she'll bring this interesting woman to life. The fact that the film is exploring modern loneliness and connection through humor and heartbreak has me intrigued - it sounds like a really unique blend of emotions. I'm also stoked to hear that Anderson is drawing inspiration from classic French cinema and iconic style, which always leads to some amazing visuals. Can't wait to see what she does next! 😄

🤔 I think this is a great reminder that just because we're good at something one day, it doesn't mean we can't try new things and take risks. Pamela Anderson has been killing it in the acting scene lately, but it's awesome to see her stepping out of her comfort zone with a comedy film. Sometimes, taking on challenges outside of our usual niche can help us grow as artists and people. It's also cool to see how she's using her platform to share her style inspirations and upcoming projects - it's all about spreading love and positivity, right? 💖

The fact that it's an absurdist comedy with Michael Cera directing is a dream come true for me 😂. I love how she described her role as "precise yet unpredictable", that sounds so fascinating!

I'm also loving the vibe of her style inspiration, French New Wave cinema and iconic style - girl knows how to slay! 🎬 And can we talk about George Clooney's speech at the Style Awards ceremony? 😂 "fuck him" is not exactly the most subtle diss, but I guess that's just part of being a legend. Anyway, it's always exciting to see Pamela Anderson taking on new projects and pushing her creative boundaries. Fingers crossed she'll nail this role too! 💖

I cant even... 😂 Pamela Anderson is back in the game! I'm so down for her new absurdist comedy - sounds like a wild ride. I love how she's playing an "interesting woman" in it, can't wait to see what that means in practice. Her style inspirations are on point too, French New Wave cinema is where it's at 💁‍♀️🎥. And can we talk about the Red Carpet Visionary honor for Giorgio Armani? George Clooney's speech was so iconic 🤣 "since he couldn't show up, and you know, fuck him"... classic George! Anyway, I'm loving all the drama and glamour at these award shows... it's like a time capsule of old-school Hollywood glitz 💃🏻.

I mean, Pamela Anderson's next project sounds kinda interesting 🤔, but why does she have to tease us so much? Can't we just get a trailer or something already?! I'm loving the sound of her character though - "precise yet unpredictable" is like, my exact mood right now 😂. And yay for French New Wave cinema being an inspiration, that's always cool. But can someone please tell me what's going on with this film? Is it a rom-com or something else entirely? 🤷‍♀️ I'm also kinda disappointed they didn't show us any of her outfits from the Style Awards... Pamela Anderson does style 💁‍♀️

man i'm so excited to see pamela anderson in another comedy film she's been killing it lately and her style inspirations are always so cool 🤩 french new wave cinema is my jam too i love how she mentioned that as an influence for this project can't wait to check out "love is not the answer" when it drops 💕

OMG u guys Pamela Anderson is back and I am SO down! She's been killing it in films lately & I'm hyped to see her bring her unique energy to this new project with Michael Cera 🤩. I love how she's all about embracing her character & feeling like herself, that's so inspiring! 😊 The fact that she's got a mix of humor & heartbreak in the film is like, music to my ears... I mean who doesn't need more comedy & rom-com vibes in their lives? 💕 But what I'm really curious about is how her character fits into this absurdist comedy - will it be quirky & offbeat or more grounded & realistic? Either way, I'm here for it! 🎥👀

😏 so Pamela Anderson is low-key joining Michael Cera's new comedy film 🤣 i mean, we already knew she was gonna be in some stuff this year with her iconic blonde hair 💁‍♀️, but this one sounds like it could get pretty wild. I love how she's being all cryptic about the plot and just wanting us to watch the movie for ourselves 🎥. And can we talk about how excited she seems? I'm getting some major 90s vibe from her interviews lately 💖, and i am HERE. FOR. IT 🔥

OMG I'M SO EXCITED FOR PAMELA ANDERSON'S NEW FILM!!! SHE'S ALWAYS BEEN A QUEEN OF COMEDY AND THIS PROJECT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S GONNA BE SO FUNNY AND HEARTWARMING 🤣🎬 she's been killing it lately with her roles in "The Last Showgirl" and "The Naked Gun" and now she's getting to play a complex character that sounds so interesting 🤔 i love how she's embracing her blonde hair again, it looks amazing on her 💁‍♀️ also, can we talk about how iconic she is? like, she's been in this industry for ages and she still knows how to slay the game 🔥

I think it's kinda weird that Pamela Anderson is getting hyped for this new comedy film. I mean, she's already had some iconic roles in recent years, but this one sounds like just another absurdist comedy... 🤔 She seems to be embracing her character being "precise yet unpredictable" which, let's be real, is just a fancy way of saying "weird". What really gets me though is how many big names are attached to these upcoming projects. Elle Fanning and Riley Keough in another film? Kourtney Kardashian Barker as an honoree at the Style Awards? It feels like there's a bit too much going on here, if you ask me 🤑
