the thing is, i dont think its about finding the best catcher in the market, its more about what the phillies want to do with their team. they got some promising young guys like rafael marchan and austin scaley, maybe they should give them a shot? 
gotta be hard to find someone as good as him tho idk why kansas city wont let salvador perez go hes been there 4 ages and hes still killin it

This is a tough spot for Philly fans to be in... J.T. Realmuto's age is definitely making teams think twice about committing to him long-term. I mean, 35 is getting up there even if he's still killing it at the plate. 
Still, with no super viable alternatives on the market, the Phillies have to get creative or risk losing out on a crucial piece of their roster. Maybe trading for Jeffers or Contreras could be the way to go? 
He's been on point all these years and now they're questioning his future? 
It's a mystery how he'll find another catcher to back him up. Salvador Perez is cool, I guess, but who wants to leave their org after so long?
