Midlife weight gain can start long before menopause, but these steps can help your body weather the hormonal shift

🤔 as I see more women my age getting caught up in the whole diet and gym thing, I think we need to shift our focus to understanding our bodies during perimenopause... those physiological changes can be super sneaky and affect everything from metabolism to stress levels. strength training, good nutrition, and decent sleep are all important, but for me, it's about finding a balance that works with my hormones rather than against them 💆‍♀️

muscle loss is no joke I saw this happen with my aunt she was super into fitness before but once perimenopause hit she just kinda lost momentum idk if its the lack of energy or the hormonal changes 🤔

🤯 I never thought about how our hormones affect our bodies when we hit our 40s... like my friend is trying to lose weight but she just can't seem to get rid of the extra pounds no matter what she does. It's making me realize that it's not just about dieting or going to the gym, but also about taking care of ourselves from the inside out 💆‍♀️🏋️‍♀️ And I totally agree with incorporating strength training and getting enough sleep... it makes so much sense why people say rest is crucial for weight loss 😴💤

can't believe they're not talking about the impact of stress on our hormones 🤯 i mean we all know cortisol is crazy at this point in life but like seriously have you ever tried meditation or yoga and then gone to bed feeling calm? it's like your body knows what's up 😴 anyway back to the article - I think incorporating strength training into your routine is a must especially if you're gonna be eating quality food protein is key 🥗
