Judge Failed to Disclose Personal Ties to Prosecutor in Two Death Row Cases

I'm so surprised that Judge Susan Stallings had to step down from Richard Glossip's trial... 😳🤔 The whole thing just seems like a mess. I mean, it sounds like there were some pretty close ties between her and Fern Smith, the original prosecutor. But at the same time, I can see why Glossip's lawyers would want to make sure she wasn't going to be biased towards Smith. 🙃

It's all so murky - was Stallings really in over her head, or was she just trying to do the right thing? And what about those emails she sent to Smith? That does seem like a pretty big deal... 📧💬 It's just frustrating that we don't know for sure what happened. Maybe this is an opportunity to take a closer look at how judges are handled in high-profile cases, and make some changes to prevent something like this from happening again... 💡
