I'm seriously freaked out after watching the first episode of 'It: Welcome to Derry'!!! The way they've woven together all the eerie elements from the original story is pure masterclass, it's like they're trying to make you feel uncomfortable on purpose
The way they've woven together all the eerie elements from the original story is pure masterclass, it's like they're trying to make you feel uncomfortable on purpose . I mean, who thought it was a good idea to introduce demons feasting on human flesh at the beginning?! But honestly, that sets the tone for what's to come - it's like King's signature tropes have been taken up a notch, making this series even more unsettling than before

.
What really caught my attention is how Derry itself becomes a character in the story. The way the town's residents hide racist sentiments that threaten to tear the community apart... it's just so disturbing. And can we talk about Dick Hallorann for a second?! He's like the heart of this series, bringing all the supernatural elements together and adding this layer of depth that makes you question what's real and what's not .
.
One thing I'm really excited to see is how they're handling the upcoming Amazon series... Carrie is definitely going to bring some serious frights next year . Anyway, if you're a fan of horror like me, do yourself a favor and check out 'It: Welcome to Derry' ASAP... but don't say I didn't warn you!

! I mean, who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned horror story, right? The way it weaves together all the familiar threads from the original 2017 film is pure genius
