'I'd do it all again,' says Dutch minister at heart of car chip standoff with China

the EU's stance on china is getting more aggressive by the day 🤯. I think it's a wake-up call for europe and the west to reassess their dependence on china for tech and raw materials. karremans' comments are pretty surprising, but i guess he's just trying to send a message that they won't back down easily 💁‍♂️. the global car industry is already feeling the pinch, and it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out 🚗💥. the thing is, what's the alternative? are we gonna start relying on the US for everything? or do we just keep playing chicken with china until someone blinks? 😬

😒 honestly can't believe what's going down in EU right now 🤯. Dutch minister is like "hey, let's take control of Chinese chip factory because China might do us wrong" and then everyone freaks out 🚨. I mean, it's not like Karremans didn't know about Nexperia's moves to China already... did he really need to go all nuclear on this one? 🤷‍♂️ And now China is all "hey, we're just giving you some chips back" and everyone's supposed to be grateful 💸. Newsflash: the EU's economy ain't that fragile... 👀

😊 oh man i dont blame him tho 🤷‍♂️ its like europe is sleepwalking into china's trap and karremans finally woke them up 🔔💥 he was ahead of his time but most people just didnt get it 🙄 i mean we all knew about the chip shortage but europe was too busy arguing with china to take action 💪

anyway im glad hes sticking to his guns and not backing down ⚖️ now lets see if the eu can actually follow through on its demands 🤞 and hopefully this wont be a repeat of the same old china-eu drama 🙅‍♂️ fingers crossed for europe's chip supply 🎉

I dont get why Netherlands are making big deal outta this Nexperia thingy... 6 weeks standoff is pretty chill imo 😐. they should just buy chips from USA instead lol. Vincent Karremans can do whatever he wants tbh, its his job. but honestly i wonder what kinda tech they got in china that they need so much? 🤔
