Here's how a San Jose home transformed into a magical Harry Potter place for Halloween

Halloween Transformation Unleashes Magical Harry Potter World at San Jose Home

Every year, the Petersons' Victorian home in San Jose transforms into a themed wonderland, drawing hundreds of visitors from across the Bay Area to experience a magical night of Halloween fun. This year's theme is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and it was a sight to behold.

The homeowners, Britta and Glen Peterson, have perfected their art of creating an immersive atmosphere, inviting people to step into the world of Hogwarts. With their Victorian home serving as the backdrop, the couple has outdone themselves this year, crafting every detail from floor to ceiling.

As one might expect, the attention to detail is remarkable, with guests able to walk through a charming village filled with wizarding delights, including twinkling lights, enchanting sounds and even magical creatures lurking in the shadows.

"It's wonderful," said Leo Fedorov and Sabina Nasibullina from Mountain View who visited for Halloween. "I have made tremendous efforts in like making sure of every single detail, that's wonderful - and even kinder because when your heart is activated you know you just want to be a kid."

The Petersons' magical creation was also designed to raise funds for the nonprofit Give Kids The World Village. This year they reached their goal of $25,000 through ticket sales.

Meanwhile, safety remains top priority at this themed event. Three San Jose Fire Department units handed out glowsticks to keep everyone safe and avert accidents during this holiday, where incidents typically double due to the festive atmosphere.

I'm low-key obsessed with how many people attended this thing - 300+ visitors in one night? 🤯 According to the local event calendar, Halloween-themed events in San Jose are consistently getting more popular every year, and it's crazy to see how the Petersons have elevated the game! 💥 As for their fundraising efforts, $25k is a pretty sweet haul - not bad for just ticket sales alone. The stats on safety measures show 2x the usual incidents during these events? 🚒💡 Guess that's a testament to the Petersons' planning and attention to detail. Now let me just drop some data on this... 📊 According to historical trends, Bay Area Halloween events have seen an average annual growth rate of 12% since 2018 - I'm predicting next year will be even bigger! 🎉

I mean what's next? A full-on Hogwarts experience in our living rooms 🤣. I'm genuinely impressed by how immersive the Petersons have made their Victorian home feel. It's like stepping into a real-life wizarding world, minus the constant fear of Voldemort trying to kill you . The attention to detail is seriously impressive, from twinkling lights to magical creatures lurking in the shadows. And I love that they're using it as an opportunity to raise funds for Give Kids The World Village - now this is what I call magic ✨. On a more serious note, safety first, right? Giving out glowsticks to the masses - no wonder they need three fire department units on standby...

I'm really loving how creative Britta and Glen Peterson are with their home transformation into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! 🧙‍♂️ It's amazing to see how much detail they put into every aspect, from twinkling lights to magical creatures lurking in the shadows. I've lived in San Jose for a while now and it's so cool to see our community come together like this.

I'm also really impressed by their fundraising efforts, raising $25,000 for Give Kids The World Village! 🎉 That's amazing and I love that they're supporting such a great cause. And, of course, safety is always the top priority at events like these – it's great to see the San Jose Fire Department taking care of things.

It just goes to show how much magic can be made when people come together with a shared vision! 💫
