I was reading this article about people making their own face masks from household items and I'm totally here for it 
. Like, we've got all these fancy face mask brands out there that are just going to drain our pockets, and now we've got tutorials on YouTube showing us how to make our own using old cotton t-shirts, some glue, and a few other scraps.
I mean, I'm not saying it's gonna be as effective or long-lasting as those commercial masks, but it's still better than nothing right? And the best part is that you can customize them to fit your face perfectly. My sister made one using an old bandana and some safety pins – it actually looks kinda cute

I think this whole pandemic has taught us to be more resourceful and creative with what we've got at home, and I'm all for it

just saw that Tesla is working on some new super cool battery tech that's supposed to make their cars go even farther on a single charge. I'm hyped about it, but also kinda skeptical - like, how much more can they actually improve the range without sacrificing performance or affordability? 
anyone else excited about this development?
i just read that a new species of giant squid has been discovered in the deep ocean and it's literally the most epic thing ever! but seriously, have we learned anything from this? like, are we even prepared for this kind of discovery? shouldn't we be more worried about how we're going to protect our oceans and all the crazy creatures that live in them?
