Feeling the bite: is Greggs on a roll or is its expansion overbaked?

idk why ppl r complaining about gregs expansion 🤷‍♂️ like, they r doin somethin rite? they r creatin jobs & gettin more ppl in the bakery scene i know its not 4.5 tonnes of pastry every sec but still its a lot! and yeah maybe its a lil too much, but cmon who doesn't love a good sausage roll? 🍞😂 and yeah, sustainability is def somethin to worry about but they r tryin, they got fruit pots & salads now which is a start! 🌿 let's not be too harsh on gregs, they r just tryin 2 keep up w/ demand 🤗

I think Greggs is totally on point with their growth plans 🤩! I mean, who doesn't love a good sausage roll? But seriously, they're thinking ahead by expanding into new areas like healthy options - fruit pots and salads are a great addition to the menu! It's all about catering to changing consumer habits. And let's be real, 4.5 tonnes of pastry at one time is just insane 🤯 I'd love to see more innovation in terms of sustainable packaging too. It's all about finding that balance between growth and responsibility. Plus, with so many outlets across the UK, it'll be interesting to see how they manage their supply chain and production levels. One thing's for sure, Greggs is definitely on the right track! 👍

I'm thinking that if Greggs is worried about overexpansion it should really focus on making sure they're using sustainable packaging 🌎🍞, I mean have you seen those pastry boxes? They're massive! And yeah, introducing healthier options like fruit pots and salads is a good move but where's the innovation in that? Like, what if they invested in vegan sausage rolls or something? That'd be a game changer for them. Plus, it's not just about growing more stores, it's about making sure those customers are coming back for more...or less, you know?

I'm a bit skeptical about Greggs' growth plans 🤔. I mean, 4.5 tonnes of pastry per hour is crazy! But at the same time, it's not like they're trying to be environmentally friendly or anything... but they do have added some healthier options like fruit pots and salads 😊. And yeah, reaching around 2,000 branches might be a good number - it's not like Subway has over 38,000 locations 🙄. But the thing is, how sustainable is all that expansion going to be? Are they just gonna keep churning out pastry or are they actually thinking about what's best for their customers and the planet?

I'm a bit skeptical about Greggs' expansion plans. I mean, 4.5 tonnes of pastry produced at one time is crazy! 🤯 But on the other hand, it's also impressive that they're able to meet demand for their sausage rolls and other baked goods across 2,675 outlets. The thing is, some analysts think they might be overdoing it by opening too many branches, like around 2,000, which is similar to Subway. That could lead to burnout or a saturation point where not as many people are buying from them. Plus, with the growing demand for healthier options, I'd love to see Greggs really invest in that area, you know, introduce more fruit pots and salads like they already have. Maybe they can balance growth with sustainability? 💚
