Fairmount Water Works faces existential threat: 'It's either adapt or collapse'

🌪️ I'm literally shook by this update... climate change is taking a devastating toll on our cultural heritage sites 🤯. I mean, Fairmount Water Works has been a National Historic Landmark since 2007, but now it's barely holding on due to rising waters. The thought of these historic sites collapsing is just heartbreaking 😩. We need more funding for climate adaptation projects ASAP 💸 and also some creative solutions from the private sector 🤝. It's time for us to rethink our approach to preservation and prioritize sustainability 🌿. I'm keeping an eye on this situation and crossing my fingers that we can save these incredible pieces of history 💕.

🌊 come on people $650k is like scratchin the surface thinkin climate change is just gonna leave our heritage in the dust its not just about Fairmount, its about all these other sites that are waitin to get hit. private sector step up or we're losin some of history forever. 🚧 and what's with the 3 phase plan? where's the money for phase one lol.

🌊😬 I feel so sorry for Fairmount Water Works, it's like they're fighting a losing battle against Mother Nature. I mean, who can predict these crazy weather patterns anymore? 🤯 I've been following this story and it's just heartbreaking to think that their historic building could be washed away at any moment. We need to act fast and find a solution, not just for Fairmount Water Works but for all those historical sites in Pennsylvania that are struggling to stay afloat. 💸 Let's get the private sector and local communities on board to help fund this project and make it happen! 🚧💪

omg you guys the fairmount water works is literally struggling to survive due to climate change 🌪️💧 I feel so bad for young and her team they're doing everything they can but it's just not enough 🤕 the fact that they have to constantly evacuate and repair damage is just heartbreaking 😔 what's even more messed up is that this isn't an isolated incident a lot of historic sites in pennsylvania are facing similar threats 🤯 we need to step up and help these places stay safe 💪

🌊 I'm low-key freaking out about Fairmount Water Works fam... Climate change is literally ruining historic sites left and right. Like, can't we adapt or something? 🤷‍♀️ It's not like they're asking for the moon here. They just need some decent materials to make their exhibits water-resistant. And $650k isn't even close to enough money 💸. I mean, have you seen the damage from Hurricane Ida? It's like, hello, our heritage is being destroyed right before our eyes 🌪️. We gotta step up and help these sites out or risk losing an important part of our history 📚. Can't we just find a way to save Fairmount Water Works without having to say goodbye for good? 🤞
