I mean, Fairmount Water Works has been a National Historic Landmark since 2007, but now it's barely holding on due to rising waters. The thought of these historic sites collapsing is just heartbreaking . We need more funding for climate adaptation projects ASAP and also some creative solutions from the private sector . It's time for us to rethink our approach to preservation and prioritize sustainability . omg you guys the fairmount water works is literally struggling to survive due to climate change I feel so bad for young and her team they're doing everything they can but it's just not enough the fact that they have to constantly evacuate and repair damage is just heartbreaking what's even more messed up is that this isn't an isolated incident a lot of historic sites in pennsylvania are facing similar threats we need to step up and help these places stay safe
