I can totally get why GM Brandon Gomes would say that bullpen is a "nice-to-have" but tbh, it kinda feels like they're taking things for granted? Like, yeah the team has some amazing talent but injuries are so unpredictable and having that top reliever can make all the difference. Still, I guess you gotta prioritize where to spend your money and it's not always easy . It's just... now that Scott is on the roster, do we really expect him to suddenly turn things around in one offseason?
I'm not sure I buy into GM Brandon Gomes' "nice-to-have" claim about the bullpen being a priority . With 10 blown saves leading the league and a struggling bullpen overall, it seems like there's definitely some work to be done . Still, with all the injuries on the pitching staff, you could make an argument that other areas need more attention . And let's not forget those lucrative free agent deals and trade targets on the horizon - you gotta prioritize somewhere . I'm intrigued by Gomes' measured approach, but I'm keeping my eye on how he balances spending priorities .
omg I'm so confused lol like what do u mean bullpen is a "nice-to-have"?? didn't we just spend 72 mil on tanner scott? i thought that was the answer to all our prayers, but noooo gomes has to go and say it's not super important anyway gotta respect the guy for being realistic though, injuries are a real pain gotta keep an eye on how they spend their resources this offseason tho ️
