Detroit’s Menorah in the D to feature released Israeli hostages - Detroit Metro Times

idk why ppl care so much about this hanukkah thing 🤷‍♂️ its like, another jewish holiday or whatever... but i guess its cool that the fam is back together 🎉. i mean, i dont really get whats the big deal about israel and palestine tho... cant we all just get along? 🤦‍♂️ anywayz, detroit's got some sick events this time of year, so im def checking out the menorah in the d event 🎊

omg this reunion is giving me all the feels 🤯 i'm literally speechless thinking about the Israeli family being reunited after being held hostage for so long it's like their love and hope kept them going even in the darkest times and now they get to celebrate jewish freedom with thousands of people in detroit what a beautiful way to spread love and light during this holiday season

man i feel bad for that family 🤕 they've been through so much already... holding an event like this in detroit is nice but its also super bittersweet 🎄 u can be happy for the reunion but also think about all those ppl affected by the conflict 🌎 gotta respect that tho, its a powerful reminder of what's at stake here. dont get me wrong, i love detroit & its community vibe, but cant we just celebrate jewish holidays without having to tie it to this somber stuff? 🤔
