Destiny 2's Star Wars Collaboration Brings Iconic Guns to the Table, But with a Twist.

Bungie has dropped a new trailer for its upcoming Destiny 2 expansion, Renegades, which promises an arsenal of Star Wars-inspired guns that will set fans' hearts racing. The good news is that this isn't a Fortnite-style situation where Bungie is simply gifting players direct versions of the most iconic Star Wars weapons. Instead, the studio has created its own Destiny 2 take on these legendary firearms.

The trailer showcases an impressive array of new gear, each one inspired by a specific Star Wars character or universe. There's Han Solo's DL-44 blaster pistol in The Uncivil Discourse, Boba Fett's EE-3 Carbine rifle in All or Nothing, and Princess Leia's Defender sporting blaster pistol in Compact Defender. Each gun has been meticulously reimagined to fit the Destiny 2 gameplay style, with some interesting tweaks and additions.

One notable exception is the Praxic Blade, which takes the form of a lightsaber that can reflect incoming fire and be thrown for a ranged attack. This kinetic-slot sword feels like a love letter to Star Wars fans, while still feeling true to the Destiny 2 formula.

ugh i cant wait for renegades to drop 🤩 but like remember when bungie used to come out with fire and fury expansions and they were soooo good back in the day lol like those were the days where we could actually play without lagging behind 😂 anyway im super hyped about these new star wars guns, especially the lightsaber thingy its kinda like what they had on warframe but i guess that wasnt part of destiny 2 🤔 the praxic blade is so cool and it reminds me of when they first came out with the voidwalker class and how we all thought they were gonna be the next big thing 😆 im excited to see how this expansion plays out tho, maybe bungie will finally get something right after that whole curse of osiris fiasco 😅

I'm hyped for this Renegades expansion but also got some reservations 🤔. I mean, Bungie has always been good at making games their own, and it sounds like they're doing that with the Star Wars guns. The Praxic Blade lightsaber sword is straight fire 🔥! But at the same time, I'm worried that this might be a cash-grab, especially if they start selling DLC packs for individual guns 🤑. We'll see how it all plays out, but for now, I'm just excited to get my hands on some of those sick-looking guns and see where Renegades takes us 💥
