Brendel is celebrated in a glorious musical evening of silliness, sublime playing and warm affection

OMG, I'm still on a high from that epic marathon concert 🎵👏! It's so awesome to see how Alfred Brendel's legacy is still making waves in the classical music scene. The way Simon Rattle brought all those talented musicians together was pure magic ✨. And can we talk about the Takács Quartet and Brendel's collaboration in Schubert's C major Quintet? 💕 It gave me all the feels, especially that slow movement... it's like they were speaking directly to my soul 🌟. The poetry segment with Harriet Walter was also a lovely touch - it added this whole new layer of depth to the music 📚. And let's not forget the military band and those Marches to Fall Short of Victory by Mauricio Kagel... what a unique choice! 😂 It just goes to show how diverse Brendel's artistry is. All in all, I'm so grateful we got to experience this incredible celebration of his life and music 🙏

man, what a beautiful tribute to Alfred Brendel 🎵🙏... it's crazy how he'd have turned 95 on the evening of this concert 🤯... i mean, Simon Rattle did an amazing job conducting all those talented musicians together 🔥... and having Harriet Walter reading Brendel's poems alongside Ligeti and Kurtág was like a breath of fresh air 😌... but what really got me is how Brendel's music still evokes emotions even after his passing ❤️... it's like he left behind this incredible legacy that'll keep on touching people's lives for generations to come 🕰️... anyway, i'm just glad we got to experience this special event and celebrate the life of a true artist legend 👏

Man I just saw this tribute to Alfred Brendel on YouTube and it's totally blowing my mind 🤯! The way the musicians came together to celebrate his life and artistry is so beautiful... like, you can literally feel the love and respect they have for him ❤️. And that performance with the Takács Quartet in Schubert's C major Quintet? Chills, dude! 😍 It's amazing how Brendel's music still evokes such strong emotions after all these years.

I also loved how they mixed his poetry with classical pieces... it's like, you get this beautiful contrast of light and dark, which is so reflective of Brendel's own spirit 🌙. And that military band playing those Marches to Fall Short of Victory? Totally surreal! 😂 It's like, you're walking on the edge between reality and something else.

But what really got me was how they celebrated Brendel as a composer and performer... it's clear that his artistry has left such a mark on people's lives 🌈. I mean, we lost him too soon in June, but this tribute is like, a beautiful reminder of the impact he had 🙏.

man, i'm still reeling from that marathon concert celebrating alfred Brendel's life and artistry 🎵🙏 it was truly a testament to his legacy - the way he brought people together with his music is just amazing. i loved how they featured all these talented musicians who were inspired by him, and the conducting of simon rattle was on point 💥 the energy in the room was palpable!

but what really struck me was when Brendel himself joined forces with the takács quartet for that gorgeous schubert quintet 🎶 it's like he was still with us, sharing his passion and creativity with all of us. and those poems by harriet walter, paired with ligeti and kurtág's music... what a contrast - lightness vs darkness, it was like a beautiful dance 💃 the military band playing those marches to fall short of victory by mauricio kagel added this whole other layer to the evening 🎺

anyway, i think Brendel's artistry has touched so many lives, and it's amazing to see how his legacy continues to inspire new generations 🌟
