Blackhawks continue surprise start, third-period scoring ways in comeback win over Maple Leafs

The Chicago Blackhawks are proving to be more than just the laughing stock of the league, as they pulled off a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs at home on Saturday night.

In a game that was all but won and lost in the blink of an eye, the Hawks found a way to come out on top, thanks largely to a pair of third-period goals. Teuvo Teravainen tied the game with a strike from Frank Nazar, before Colton Dach sealed the win with a rebound off Louis Crevier's shot just over five minutes from time.

The Blackhawks are starting to live up to their billing as one of the most exciting young teams in the league, despite being preseason favorites for a cellar-dwelling finish. With 9 wins and 5 losses under their belt, they're currently sitting pretty with 22 points – more than many expected.

Coach Jeff Blashill's men are on a roll, with 30 of their 59 goals coming in the third period this season alone. And when asked about the secret to their success, Teravainen reckoned that "we're pretty comfortable with one-goal games". He added that while every game feels like an arm-wrestling match, the team's ability to find ways to do things right is what's key.

Nazar, who returned from a two-game absence, was on fire in his return, snapping a five-game drought without a point. His play, he claimed, is "easy" and "fun", adding that he works hard and plays with speed and agility.

However, not all good news came out of the win. Captain Nick Foligno was forced to exit the ice after blocking a shot with his hand, and coach Blashill expects him to be sidelined for at least four weeks. The news comes as a blow to the team, who have been missing their star player since his injury.

Despite this setback, the Blackhawks remain in high spirits, having beaten teams they were once written off against. Nazar's words rang true: "We've played some great teams, and we've stuck right in there with a ton of them." It seems like this young team has got more to prove than anyone thought possible.

OMG 🀯 I'm lovin' the way the Blackhawks are turnin' their season around! They're defo the underdogs no more πŸ˜‚, and it's so awesome to see them come from behind and snatch those wins! Colton Dach is a total rockstar for gettin' that game-winner 🎯. I'm also happy to see Teuvo Teravainen on fire again πŸ”₯, he's been a key player all season long.

But, man, Nick Foligno's injury is a bummer πŸ€•. The team needs him back ASAP! Coach Blashill's doin' his best to keep the squad motivated, and it's really payin' off πŸ™Œ. These youngins are like a well-oiled machine ⚑️, workin' together and makin' magic happen on the ice.

I'm totally rootin' for 'em now 🐦! They're defo one of the most exciting teams in the league, and I love watchin' their games πŸ˜†. Bring on the next win πŸ†!

the Blackhawks are defo on the rise! 3-2 comeback wins are the best kind of thrillers 😎 their coach Blashill's strategy is straight fire and teuvo teravainen is having a sick season πŸ”₯ the way they're playing 3rd period hockey is insane, it's like they're on another level. nazar's return was huge and he's got the skills to back it up 🀩 captain nick foligno might be out for a bit but this young team won't let that bring them down πŸ’ͺ they're proving everyone wrong and i am here for it!

πŸ€” I'm loving the vibes of this Blackhawks team! They're totally proving people wrong, just like they said they'd do. 30 goals in the third period alone? That's insane! 🀯 It's not just about luck, though - their system and teamwork seem to be working really well. Teuvo and Frank are on fire right now! πŸ”₯ Coach Blashill must be doing something right, eh? 😏 And I'm a bit worried about Nick Foligno, but the team is staying positive despite that setback. They're showing some serious grit and determination out there on the ice. Keep it up, Hawks! πŸ¦…

omg u guys I'm low-key loving the blackhawks rn 🀩 they're def living up to the hype! that comeback win over toronto was insane πŸ’₯ teuvo teravainen is a genius, tying the game with frank nazar's beauty strike πŸ”₯ and colton dach sealing the deal with a wicked rebound 🎯 coach blashill's got them on track, 30 goals in the third period this season? that's crazy 🀯 and nazar seems so chill about it, "we're pretty comfortable with one-goal games" lol sounds like he's got the right attitude 😎 can't wait to see what they do next

I'm loving this resurgence from the Hawks! πŸ™Œ They were written off as the joke squad at the start of the season, but these guys are proving everyone wrong left and right! Their third-period magic is insane - 30 goals so far this season? That's some kind of record book stuff. I mean, Teravainen's comment about being comfortable in one-goal games makes total sense, but it's just a fancy way of saying they're clutch players. And Nazar's return from injury was pure gold - the guy's on fire! πŸš€ But, yeah, not having Foligno for four weeks is a big blow, we'll have to see how they adjust their lineup without him. Still, I'm all in on this young team and their never-say-die attitude... they're a joy to watch! 😊

OMG I'm DYING πŸ˜‚πŸ’€ over this comeback win by the Blackhawks!!! They're literally proving everyone wrong and it's SO cool 🀩! Teuvo Teravainen is a genius, tying that game up with Frank Nazar's sick goal 🎯, and Colton Dach sealing it all with that rebound 🚨. And can we talk about Coach Jeff Blashill for a sec? He's doing an AMAZING job getting this team on track! The stats are INSANE - 30 goals in the third period alone?! 🀯 I'm loving every minute of this! πŸ˜†

omg i'm loving the blackhawks' vibe rn 🀩 they're def proving ppl wrong about being the laughing stock lol. that teravainen guy is on fire πŸ”₯ and nazar's return was just what they needed. 30 goals in the third period is insane πŸ’₯ can't wait to see how they keep this momentum up. only thing bumming me out is foligno getting hurt πŸ€• fingers crossed he'll be back ASAP.

🚨 stats alert 🚨

so like the blackhawks are def on fire rn! they're only 5 games out of a playoff spot and people were writing them off as cellar dwellers lol. their 3rd period goal fest is insane, we're talkin 30 goals this season from the third 🀯

here's the deal tho, they've still got some key injuries to worry about - nick foligno out for at least a month that's a major loss. but like the team's all about finding ways to win in one-goal games and it sounds like teravainen is bringing that vibe πŸ’ͺ

did you see nazar's return game? 5-game drought without a point, then he goes on fire πŸ”₯ his speed & agility are straight fire πŸ’¨

anyway, Blackhawks fans are over the moon rn. they're proving everyone wrong & it's been a blast to watch 😎

haha nice comeback by the Hawks, who would've thought they'd actually do something right? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ’₯

this guy nazar is on FIRE πŸ”₯🎯 gotta love the underdog story

4 weeks without foligno and still they manage to win... can't stop this momentum πŸš€πŸ’ͺ

omg i was watching that game live 🀯 the way the hawks came back is insane! i think coach blashill's system is doing wonders for their young players - they're really comfortable under pressure, you know? teuvo teravainen and frank nazar are killing it right now πŸ’₯ nazar's return from injury was a huge boost to the team...and colton dach's goal at the end was pure magic ✨ i'm loving how this team is turning out - all the haters were wrong about them 😜

OMG 🀩 I'm totally loving the Hawks' comeback win over the Leafs πŸ˜†! They're def proving all the naysayers wrong, and it's so cool to see them on a roll πŸ”₯. That Teuvo Teravainen is like a superhero, tying the game with that sick strike πŸ’₯, and Colton Dach sealing the deal with that rebound 🎯. I mean, who doesn't love an underdog story? πŸ€“ And can we talk about Nazar's return from his 2-game absence? He was on fire πŸ”ͺ! The team's confidence is through the roof right now, and it's infectious 🌞. Okay, so Nick Foligno's injury is a bummer πŸ˜”, but I'm sure he'll be back in no time. This young team's got this πŸ”₯!

"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it" πŸ’ͺ🏻 - Charles R. Swindoll, isn't this Blackhawks season just the perfect example of that? They could've easily ended up in last place, but instead they're on a roll, proving everyone wrong! The team's ability to adapt and come out on top is truly inspiring. With Captain Foligno out for a while, it'll be interesting to see how they adjust, but I'm confident they'll find a way to overcome this hurdle. πŸ’₯

This Blackhawks team is totally on fire! I mean, 3-2 comeback victories are no joke 🀯. They're proving everyone wrong who said they'd be the worst in the league πŸ˜‚. Their third-period goals are just insane - it's like they have a different gear to switch into when it counts πŸš€. And Nazar is on fire! He was missing for two games and then just snaps out of it, scoring not one but TWO goals πŸ’₯. But seriously, this team has got heart and determination - let's see how far they can go! ⚑️

I'm loving how the Hawks are defying expectations rn πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ They were preseason cellar-dwellers but now they're on fire πŸŽ‰! That comeback win over the Leafs was insane 🀯, and I'm so down for the team's confidence boost πŸ’ͺ. Teuvo Teravainen is on point with his "we're comfortable with one-goal games" vibe πŸ’‘, and Frank Nazar's return has been a game-changer πŸ”₯. Can't wait to see how they bounce back from Nick Foligno's injury πŸ€•... but I've got faith in the team πŸ’«.

omg u gotta love the way teuvo teravainen & frank nazar are carrying the blackhawks rn 🀩 they're literally making it up as they go and somehow it's working lol πŸ‘ coach blashill must be doing somethin right cuz they're startin to gel. 9 wins in 14 games? thats insane! 😱 also, can we talk about nazar's return from injury? he was ON FIRE πŸ”₯ like, snap out of that five-game drought and back to form πŸ™Œ now if u could just get nick foligno back on the ice without gettin hurt 😬 thats the question

omg i just realized i need to update my nhl team lineup in fantasy hockey 🀯 been playing with the blackhawks all season but they're on fire now! how do you guys know who's gonna be out for nick foligno though? seems like a pretty serious injury πŸ€• anyway, colton dach is like my new favorite player lol what's up with coach blashill's comments about one-goal games tho? does that make sense in hockey or am i just being dumb πŸ€”

omg, the Hawks are for real now 🀯 they were preseason cellar-dwellers but now they're 9-5 and killing it πŸ’ͺ i mean, 3rd period goals are on fire πŸ”₯ colton dach's rebound goal was like a highlight reel move πŸŽ₯ gotta love jeff blashill's coaching skills πŸ‘

but seriously tho, nick foligno's injury is a major blow tho 😬 can't wait to see what the rest of the season brings for this team 🀞 nazar's return was sweet tho πŸ”₯ and teuvo teravainen's "we're comfortable with one-goal games" comment is just πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

🀩 oh man, this Chicago Blackhawks team is just on fire! I mean, who would've thought they'd be one of the most exciting young teams in the league right now? They're living proof that you can't write off a team based on preseason expectations alone πŸ“. Teravainen and Nazar are killing it, and their chemistry is pure magic ✨. But what's even more impressive is how they've adapted to one-goal games - it's like they say: "when every game feels like an arm-wrestling match", you gotta find ways to do things right πŸ’ͺ. And let's be real, 30 third-period goals this season? That's just ridiculous 🀯! Still, can't help but feel a little sad for Nick Foligno - the team's gonna miss him on the ice πŸ˜”. Guess we'll have to see how they bounce back from this injury and keep proving all the naysayers wrong πŸ’οΈπŸ’₯
