All the Brightness You Need? Hisense’s U75QG TV Is a Midrange Powerhouse

Hisense's latest U7 series mini-LED TVs have taken another step forward in performance, offering impressive brightness and contrast without breaking the bank. The U75QG model tested, a 65-inch version weighing just 49 pounds, boasts peak brightness of over 2,000 nits, making it bright enough for even the most demanding HDR content.

The TV's picture processing has also seen significant improvements, with Hisense managing to deliver crisp and detailed images even when upscaling low-quality HD streaming content. The U75QG's quantum dot colors are vibrant and lifelike, bringing movies like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and animated favorites like Encanto to life.

While not perfect, the TV's off-axis performance is still acceptable for most viewers, although it may not match more premium models like OLEDs from LG. The screen uniformity has been improved over its predecessor, with only minor backlight columns and vignetting noticeable in some content.

However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. Enthusiasts may be disappointed by the TV's picture processing, which still can't match pricier models. Additionally, there have been some streaming quirks, including buffering issues with YouTube TV over Wi-Fi and poor performance with Disney+, although Hisense says a fix is on the way.

In terms of features, the U75QG offers an impressive array, including four HDMI 2.1 ports with support for VRR at up to 165 Hz, as well as connectivity options like Google Cast and Apple AirPlay. The TV also boasts a loaded backlit remote and support for all major HDR and audio formats.

Overall, the Hisense U75QG is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a bright and beautiful TV without breaking the bank. While not perfect, its impressive features and performance make it one of the best value propositions in the market.

I gotta say, 2000 nits of peak brightness sounds like some crazy-good stuff for a mini-LED TV 🤯! I'm loving that Hisense managed to balance price with performance, but can't help feeling like those streaming issues are gonna be a major pain in the long run 😩. Still, if you're looking for a bright and beautiful TV without overspending, I think this is an awesome choice 💸. The quantum dot colors sound incredible - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 on my screen now just got so much more epic 🚀

I'm so down on this new mini-LED TV from Hisense - 2k nits brightness is overkill 🤯. Everyone's gonna end up with eye strain watching all that harsh light 😴. And what's with the streaming issues? You'd think they'd get it sorted out by now... or, you know, just not bother releasing a new model so soon after the last one 👎. Also, those HDR features sound like more work than they're worth 🤯. Let's just stick to good old analog TV, you know what's reliable 😂.

omg just got my hands on the new hisense u7 series mini-led tv 🤯 and i gotta say its def worth considering! 2k nits is insane for a price point under 3k 🤑 but yeah, there are some minor quirks like streaming issues and not as good off-axis performance as oleds... still, for gaming and movie nights its perfect 🎥👍

I just saw the specs for this new mini-LED TV and I'm like "Whoa, 2k nits? That's like trying to hold a candle to a supernova" 😂🔥 But seriously, 165 Hz VRR is like, who needs that kind of frame rate on my old CRT... just kidding, I still have it in my garage and it's collecting dust 🤣. Anyways, the streaming quirks are a bummer, but maybe they'll sort those out before the TV becomes a Netflix and chill buddy 🍿😜

You know, I'm watching this review of the new mini-LED TVs and I'm reminded that as much as technology advances, we still gotta consider what's truly important to us when it comes to our entertainment experiences 📺💡. Like, is it really about having the brightest picture or is it about how it makes me feel? Does it transport me to another world or just leave me feeling like I'm stuck in a world of 2K pixels?

And have you ever thought about how these advancements are gonna impact our relationships with each other? Are we gonna spend more time gazing at screens and less time talking face-to-face? It's weird, but thinking about this is actually making me appreciate the U75QG even more. Maybe it's not just a TV, but a tool to connect us to something bigger 🤔👍

I'm still skeptical about these mini-LED TVs 🤔. Don't get me wrong, 2k nits is nice, but is it really worth the hype? I mean, have you seen some of those OLEDs from LG? They're like a whole different level 🔥. And what's up with the picture processing? It's still pretty basic compared to pricier models. Don't get me wrong, it's a solid TV and all, but is it really worth shelling out top dollar for?

I also wonder about those streaming quirks 📺. Buffering issues and poor performance on Disney+? That's just annoying. And what's with the lack of support for some newer audio formats? It's like they're holding back 💔.

But hey, if you're on a budget and want a bright TV that still looks good 🎥, I suppose the Hisense U75QG is a decent option. Just don't expect it to blow you away 😐.
