A beautiful stretch of weather starts today

Dry Spell Ahead: Texas Braces for Another Week of Drought

As Houston residents bid farewell to the weekend's brief rain showers, a beautiful stretch of dry weather is set to take over the region today. A weak cool front will dominate the area, bringing clear skies and plenty of sunshine with it.

Temperatures are expected to start in the upper 40s and low 50s this morning before warming up into the low-mid 70s by afternoon. The good news is that while moisture returns on Wednesday, it's unlikely to bring much in the way of rain – at least not yet.

The upcoming week looks promising for those seeking a break from the heat and humidity. Expect sunny skies, cool mornings, and mild afternoons through Election Day. However, as we head into the latter part of November, drought conditions are likely to persist, making it essential to conserve water whenever possible.

In the tropics, there's no tropical activity to speak of for the next 7 days, courtesy of a recent system that's moved out of the area. For the latest updates and in-depth video analysis, head to our tropical update page.

As we "fall back" from daylight saving time, don't forget to set your clocks back an hour tonight. While it may seem like a minor adjustment, it's essential to get into the habit to avoid any confusion come tomorrow morning.

So another week of drought in Texas 🌴😓. I'm not sure how much more of this dry spell our poor plants can take. Anyone know when we can expect some proper rain around here? Not just a tease like it is on Wednesday 🤔. And ugh, don't even get me started on the water conservation thing... I feel bad for people who can't afford to save every drop 💧. On the bright side, at least we won't have to deal with all that humidity 😅. Still, a girl can dream of some cooler mornings and evenings would be nice ☁️. Oh and btw, let's not forget to set those clocks back tonight 🕰️... who needs an extra hour anyway?

🌡️ oh man I'm so done with this drought already! 💦 like can we just get some rain or something? 🤔 I know it's not looking good for next week either... I need that water conservation tip to remember, my plants are literally going to die if it doesn't rain soon. 🌱 and ugh, Daylight Saving Time is the WORST... why do we always have to fall back anyway? 🕰️ can we just stay on that time forever?! 😂

omg u guys dont even think about how crazy this drought is lol texas needs some serious rain ASAP! i mean idk if its going to be dry for another week but lets just take things one day at a time 🤦‍♀️. and can we pls just say good riddance to daylight saving time already? my brain is all like what time is it again?! 🕰️

Ugh I'm so over this drought thing in Texas 🤯! A whole week of no rain? That's just cruel 💔. And don't even get me started on conserving water... like, I know it's a big deal and all, but can't we just, like, have some normal weather for once?! 😩

I'm glad the end of November is looking up tho 🌞️, at least the heat and humidity will die down a bit. But seriously though, how long are drought conditions gonna last? And what's up with all these cool fronts and warm ups? Is it like, some kind of crazy weather rollercoaster or something?! 😂

And omg, don't forget to set your clocks back an hour 🕰️! Like, I know it's just a minor thing, but sometimes those little details can totally throw us off 🤦‍♀️. And what if we do have some rain on Wednesday? Will that count as a "dry spell" or something? 🤔

Ugh, drought again in Texas... 🤕 I'm so over all this hot weather and dry soil. Can't we just get some decent rain for once? 😩 I feel bad for all the farmers who are struggling to keep their crops alive. Hopefully, things will start looking up soon. 💧

I'm kinda hoping for some decent rain in Texas this week 🤞 but I guess we gotta be realistic and water conservation is a must 😊. It's not all bad tho, I mean sunny skies are nice and cooler temps sound perfect for the upcoming week 🌞️. Just remember to set those clocks back tonight so we don't wake up with an hour lost 😴. And let's stay hopeful that things won't be too dry by November 🤕. Maybe a little rain will roll in before then? ⛈️

ugh dry spell in texas is literally so dry 🌀😓 and i'm all about that stay hydrated life 💧. but seriously, a week of sunny skies sounds kinda nice... i mean, i'd take clear blue skies over all this droughty heat any day ☀️. and omg don't even get me started on the importance of water conservation - like, we need to be more careful with our resources, you know? 🤔 so fingers crossed that november brings some rain (even if it's just a little bit) 💧💕. and btw, who else is ready for daylight saving time to end already ⏰... i'm over the whole "fall back" thing 😴.

🌫️ ugh man, drought is like a metaphor for our own existential crisis, right? we're stuck in this never-ending cycle of dryness and uncertainty. one day it's pouring rain, the next it's scorching hot. can't even plan for the future without the weather throwing us off. and now we gotta "fall back" on some outdated system that's still trying to dictate our lives. what even is time? is it just a human construct to keep us in line or something? 🕰️

🌴 so i'm thinking we're due for another wild fire season in texas 🚒💨 and with drought conditions still looming, i hope they got those wildfire prevention efforts on high alert 👮‍♂️! also, ugh how do ppl forget to set their clocks back already? 😩 i swear it happens every year... anyway, at least the sun will be shining bright for the rest of us 🌻

ugh drought again 🤕 think texas is so lucky to have all that sunshine but idk how much longer they can keep ignoring their water problems 🌊 we need to conserve and stuff, don't wanna be stuck in a super dry spell forever 💦 anyway, nice weather for the rest of the week i guess...

🌴👍 gotta love these dry spells in Texas - perfect excuse to crack open that cold one (or two, or three...) and enjoy some sunny days! but for real tho, drought conditions are a big deal, especially with all the crazy weather we've been seeing lately 🤯💧. hope everyone stays hydrated and conserves water while they can 🌟👍

I feel bad for the Texans having to deal with another drought 🤕😔 I mean, can you imagine not being able to enjoy a simple BBQ or a refreshing dip in the pool without thinking about water conservation? 😂 On the bright side, it's great that they have a few nice days ahead of them before things get back to normal. Fingers crossed the moisture returns soon and brings some relief! ⚠️

omg u guys, can u believe its gonna be another week of drought in texas?! i mean idk wut the gov is doin, but we gotta start conserving water ASAP!! 🌪️💧 the good news is that the heat and humidity will die down a bit, but u still gotta stay hydrated lol. i'm def heading to the gym more often now cuz its gonna be so hot outside... did u hear they're not expecting much rain till wednesday tho? 🤔

ugh i'm so over this drought already 🤯 it feels like we've been stuck in this heat for ages and the thought of no relief for another week is kinda demotivating 🙅‍♂️ at least it's looking pretty good for outdoor activities tho - perfect weather for a hike or a picnic with friends 🌳👫

Ugh, drought again 🤕🌎. Can't people just use some water already? I mean, we know there's gonna be some rain coming but that's not exactly helping us now is it? 🤷‍♂️ We need to get serious about conserving water here! Every drop counts, folks 💧. And can you believe daylight saving time is even a thing anymore? Like, what's the point of all this clock changing nonsense? Can we just stick with one schedule already? 😩

omg i'm so glad its gonna be dry and sunny in texas lol my friend has a garden in houston and she's been struggling to keep her plants alive during this crazy drought 🌱😩 but at least now she can focus on her school projects instead of worrying about watering them 💪🏼 gotta prep for our exams soon tho, anyone got any study tips?

🌵 just thinking about another week of drought in Texas is giving me anxiety... like how can we conserve water when most people still use too much? 🤦‍♀️ anyway, at least the cooler weather will be nice for a bit 🌞

Ugh, great just what we need another week of dry spell 🤦‍♂️! Who needs sunshine and warmth when you can have dust storms and watering restrictions? 😒 I mean, I know some people love the Texas heat, but can't we just get a decent rain shower for once?! 💧 And don't even get me started on daylight saving time, it's always such a pain to adjust clocks back an hour 🕰️. Just think of all the extra sleep we're gonna lose because of this stupid time change 😴.

yooo, drought in texas? that's wild... i feel for all my friends down there who are struggling with water bills 😩. hope they can make it through this dry spell. on the bright side, at least the weather is gonna be pretty nice this week, so we can't complain about the sunshine ☀️. and yeah, don't forget to set those clocks back an hour, lol... like we haven't seen that one before 🕰️.
