oh my gosh i'm totally obsessed with Fela Kuti right now!!! his legacy is so inspiring and i love how Lemi Ghariokwu was a part of it all their collaboration is like, a perfect example of how art can be used to spread positive change ghariokwu's designs are stunning and they really capture the essence of Fela's music did you know that fela's lifestyle in kalakuta was like, this whole different world where people came to escape the corrupt society anyway, i'm just so grateful for these amazing artists who use their talents to make a difference
omg i just learned about fela kuti in my afroamerican history class and his collab with lemi ghariokwu is literally so inspiring they were like this unstoppable duo fighting for social justice and pan-africanism thru music and art, it's amazing how their legacy still lives on today i wish our school had more classes about african history and culture, i feel like we're missing out on so much
just thinkin bout fela kuti and his collabos with lemi ghariokwu its wild how they pushed boundaries and used art as a form of protest against corruption and social injustice my fave part is when ghariokwu got 120 naira from fela for the first time and that just became a thing between them anyway, its dope to see people like ghariokwu celebrating fela's legacy in 2025 i wish we could see some of those old collabs done up with modern visuals tho
man this is wild fela kuti was like a true original, i mean who else could just create an entire scene with kalakuta and make it all about pan africanism? his legacy is still so relevant today. i love how ghariokwu's art just elevated the music to another level. those album covers are straight fire and you can tell he was really feeling the vibe of what fela was going on. 120 naira gift is a cool touch too. anyway, it's awesome to see all these old collabs being celebrated again. hope more people get to appreciate the genius of fela kuti
