Walnut Garden turns into a festive ‘Walnut Wonderland’ for the holidays

In Philadelphia's Rittenhouse neighborhood, a beloved outdoor garden is transforming into a dazzling winter wonderland. Walnut Garden at 1708 Walnut St. will become Walnut Wonderland on November 12th, welcoming visitors to an enchanting festive escape.

The garden's transformation begins with a tree-lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on opening night, marking the start of a magical season that promises to delight both children and adults alike. At its heart lies a stunning 22-foot illuminated tree for guests to walk through, accompanied by a heated tent and vibrant displays adorned with festive decorations such as candy canes, penguins, and ornaments.

Upon entering Walnut Wonderland, visitors are greeted by an enchanting spectacle featuring eight Christmas trees and glowing neon sculptures, setting the tone for a spectacular holiday experience. Those looking to warm up can sip on seasonal treats like maple whiskey sours, spiced sangria, rum toddies, or indulge in sweet treats such as tabletop s'mores.

Welcoming families with pets, Walnut Wonderland offers a variety of activities throughout its extended season. On December 7th, the garden will host a Lunch with Santa event, while on New Year's Eve, guests can ring in the new year from 5 to 7 p.m. with a "Nearly New Year's" Countdown.

The wonderland is open from Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon until midnight, and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. Admission is free, and guests can pay-as-you-go for food and drinks.

Walnut Wonderland is set to shine brightly from November 12th through December 31st at Walnut Garden, located at 1708 Walnut St. in Philadelphia, PA 19103.

I'm low-key excited about this new winter wonderland in Rittenhouse! 🎄 It sounds like a magical place for families and kids to enjoy during the holiday season. The tree-lighting ceremony on opening night is gonna be lit 💡, and who wouldn't want to sip on some maple whiskey sours or indulge in tabletop s'mores? 😋 I love that it's pet-friendly too! 🐾 However, I do wonder how they're gonna keep the garden from getting too crowded during peak season. Maybe they can implement a ticket system for food and drinks? That way, everyone can still enjoy all the festive goodies without the chaos. 💪

Omg, I'm literally so stoked for the Walnut Wonderland! 🎄💫 A tree-lighting ceremony? Count me in! And an illuminated 22-foot tree to walk through? Mind blown! 😲 The whole garden is going to be a winter wonderland, and I'm obsessed with all the festive decorations - candy canes, penguins, ornaments... it's like walking into a holiday dream 🎅. And seasonal treats? Yes please! Spiced sangria and maple whiskey sours are on my list ASAP 🍹👍 And activities for families with pets? Genius! I'm so down to attend the Lunch with Santa event or ring in the new year with the "Nearly New Year's" Countdown 🎉. The whole thing just sounds like so much fun, and it's free admission?! Yes, please! 🤔 I'm telling you, this sounds like a setup for something bigger 🎄 They're gonna have all these people gathered under one roof and suddenly, BAM! Next thing you know, they're collecting data on who's there and what they're buying 😳 And have you seen the illuminated tree? That's not just some fancy decoration... that's a way to track foot traffic 👀 And don't even get me started on the "Nearly New Year's" countdown 🕰️... that's like, totally suspicious 🤫
