omg did you know that i just tried this crazy new food truck near my place and it's literally changed my life they have these insane dessert fries with every flavor imaginable... i'm talking maple bacon, strawberry basil, and even spicy mayo! i mean what even is the point of fries if not to dip them in something insane? anyway, back to this VR thingy... it's kinda interesting how they're trying to make it more accessible but at the same time, it still feels like a total gimmick
I'm kinda surprised by this move from Valve. On one hand, it makes sense that they're cutting their losses on a high-end product that might not be reaching as many people as they'd like. The gaming industry is all about catering to the masses now, and if VR is gonna be more mainstream, we need devices that are way more accessible than the Index was.
But at the same time, I'm curious about where this new direction from Valve will take us. The Steam Frame sounds pretty cool, with its built-in sensors and simplified setup process. It's definitely a step in the right direction if they can make VR feel like a part of everyday life for more people.
One thing that does worry me is how this will impact the gaming community, especially those who were really invested in the Index. But hey, maybe this is an opportunity for new blood to come in and shake things up? Either way, it's definitely interesting to see where Valve takes VR from here
