I gotta say, I was really looking forward to upgrading my TV when I heard about 8K resolution
... but this study just made me think twice
. I mean, if the average viewer can't even see the difference between 4K and 8K for most of us, what's the point? It's like buying a fancy car just because it's got more horsepower than you need
. Don't get me wrong, high-end TVs are still nice to look at, but I think I'll stick with my current one for now
. Maybe I'm just old school, but it seems like all this fuss about ultra-HD is just a case of marketing hype
.
