I'm kinda surprised by Ryanair's CEO, Michael O'Leary, going off on the UK government like this...

He's saying the economy is doomed and that selective tax cuts are the key to growth?

It sounds like a pretty basic economic theory to me. I mean, you'd think airlines would be more focused on providing good customer service and competitive prices rather than complaining about taxes.
But what really gets my goat is how he's using this as an excuse to bash the government's air travel tax policy...

Like, come on, man! The airline industry is a major player in the global economy. If they're struggling with costs, maybe it's time to rethink their business model rather than blaming everyone else.
And let's be real, his predictions about air fares not falling next year and airlines relocating operations sound like a pretty classic case of "fear-mongering"...

I'm sure the government will find a way to mitigate any negative impacts on travelers. The Treasury is already disputing his claims and I think they've got a point.
Anyway, it's all just noise at this point...

What do you guys think? Should airlines be focusing on growth or profits over fairness and customer satisfaction?
