TV tonight: Kieran Culkin, Josh Hartnett and Nick Mohammed do Gogglebox

Stand Up to Cancer: Tonight on Channel 4, a special episode of Gogglebox gets underway at 9.10pm, with Kieran Culkin and Jazz Charton taking their seats alongside Josh Hartnett and Tamsin Egerton, along with Nick Mohammed and Joe Marler. Also preceding this is a thought-provoking documentary examining the experiences of patients undergoing treatment for cancer.

Earlier tonight on BBC One, the second season finale of Death in Paradise has begun at 8pm, but it seems that no one will be getting married, as a fatal poison makes its way into an event meant to celebrate a union. The question is: can cosy crime dramas still hold their own alongside other glossy shows?

Meanwhile, on BBC Two, Adam Frost and his gardening team are offering advice for winter garden maintenance. A community allotment visit by Rekha Mistry in Sheffield rounds out the evening's programming.

Later tonight at 9pm, Channel 5 airs Inside the Four Seasons at Christmas. The hotel chain may be known for its luxurious offerings, but this documentary series is perhaps a little too flashy, particularly with regards to the staff required to set up their Christmas tree decorations.

On Sky Atlantic, All Her Fault continues as Marissa grapples with the return of her missing child and tries to unravel the tangled threads of a mystery that refuses to yield an answer. Another episode of Daddy Issues follows Aimee Lou Wood's character Gemma in her attempts to balance parenting responsibilities with her own sanity.

The evening also hosts Return to Paradise at 8pm on BBC One, where Glenn and Daisy are set for their nuptials - but an unexpected twist turns the proceedings into a crime drama.

I'm so over these new Christmas TV specials ๐Ÿคฃ. They're just so cheesy and predictable! Like, who actually gets married and then has to deal with a murder? It's not exactly realistic, you know? ๐Ÿ˜‚ I mean, I love a good mystery as much as the next person, but can't they just keep it simple for once? ๐Ÿ™„ And don't even get me started on those documentary series... Four Seasons at Christmas? Really? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ It's just too flashy and commercialized. Can't we have something more educational or interesting for once? Like a documentary about mental health or student life at school? ๐Ÿ˜” Anyway, I guess it's still gonna be a fun night of telly to watch with my friends ๐Ÿ‘ซ.

I'm intrigued by the resurgence of cosy crime dramas like Death in Paradise, which seem to be holding their own against more fast-paced shows ๐Ÿค”. The recent finale's dramatic turn was certainly a plot-twister! It'll be interesting to see how these programs continue to captivate audiences in an era where streaming services offer a plethora of content choices ๐Ÿ“บ.

The special episode of Gogglebox alongside the Stand Up to Cancer documentary on Channel 4 also piqued my interest, as it highlights the human side of medical treatment and cancer awareness ๐Ÿ’ก. As for the other programs, I'm curious to see how they'll balance drama with escapism โ€“ after all, that's what these genres are known for ๐Ÿ˜Š.

I do think there's a place for these types of shows in modern television lineups, especially as viewers increasingly look for comfort and familiarity in their viewing experiences ๐Ÿ“บ. What do you think?

omg I'm so down for that Stand Up to Cancer special on Gogglebox ๐ŸŽ‰ it's always amazing to see celebrities like Kieran Culkin and Jazz Carton support such an important cause ๐Ÿ’• meanwhile, Death in Paradise is still my fave cosy crime drama ๐Ÿต๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ can't wait to see how the writers twist the plot again ๐Ÿ˜ Adam Frost's gardening show sounds super chill too ๐ŸŒฟ but I'm not feeling Inside the Four Seasons at Christmas - all that glitz and glamour can be a bit much, you know? ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ on the other hand, All Her Fault is giving me major Grey's Anatomy vibes ๐Ÿค• Aimee Lou Wood's character is so complex and intriguing ๐Ÿ“บ I'm gonna have to check out Return to Paradise too - that 80s setting looks rad ๐ŸŽ‰

OMG u guys, I'm literally soooo excited for tonight's Gogglebox special! I mean, who doesn't love watching people watch TV? ๐Ÿคฃ It's like the ultimate meta-binge. And Josh Hartnett is joining them... like, what even is his story?! Anywayz, can we talk about how cancer documentaries are giving us all the feels? I'm pretty sure I might've bawled up some tears during that one doco on Channel 4 earlier. ๐Ÿ’” The question is, will Death in Paradise ever have a wedding episode that doesn't involve someone dying... or am I just too invested in those island murders?! ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿš€ I'm so stoked about those new shows on TV tonight! I mean, Gogglebox with Kieran Culkin? ๐Ÿคฉ That's gonna be so entertaining! And Death in Paradise is always a guilty pleasure of mine. Who doesn't love a good murder mystery set in paradise? ๐Ÿ˜ Meanwhile, I've been hearing great things about this Adam Frost doc on gardening - my aunt loves her some plants, so I'm sure she'd get a kick out of that. But you know what's really got me hyped? Return to Paradise! That twist at the end sounds AMAZING! Can't wait to find out what happens next! ๐Ÿ“บ

omg is it just me or do cosy crime dramas like death in paradise still hold up like they did back in the day? i mean don't get me wrong they're still entertaining as ever but are they really holding their own against all these other shows that have more complex storylines and whatnot ๐Ÿค”

i was watching a doco about cancer treatment earlier tonight and it made me think... how do we even prepare people for the emotional rollercoaster of going through chemo? i feel like we're still learning how to support our loved ones during these tough times ๐Ÿ’•

and can someone pls explain to me why hotels always have to make such a big deal about christmas? is that just something they do because it's a time of year or is there something more to it? ๐ŸŽ„

anyway, i'm so confused about this season finale of death in paradise... how many people died today?! ๐Ÿ˜‚ and btw who gets married in the end? did someone get left hanging like usual? ๐Ÿคท

I'm so excited about tonight's TV lineup ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ˜! It looks like there's something for everyone: Gogglebox is back, Death in Paradise is finishing its season, and All Her Fault is still keeping me on the edge of my seat ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ’”. But what I really want to talk about is how some of these shows are tackling tough topics like cancer treatment and missing children ๐Ÿค•๐Ÿ‘ง. It's so important that we keep having conversations about these issues in a way that's both informative and engaging. And can we talk about how great it is that there's a show like All Her Fault that's not afraid to get messy and complicated? It's like, I'm right there with Marissa, trying to figure out what's going on ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ“.

omg i loved watching Gogglebox back in the day ๐Ÿ“บ like who needs fancy shows when you have good old fashioned banter with your mates? but idk if cosy crime dramas still hold up today... death in paradise used to be so cheesy and fun, now it just seems a bit dull. and whats up with all these reality tv docs on channel 5? inside the four seasons at christmas sounds like someones uncle trying to sell you stuff ๐ŸŽ„ meanwhile, i'm over here watching daddy issues and rooting for that one girl gemma. she's got my spirit lol

ugh I dont know how much more of these so called "entertainment" shows I can take ๐Ÿ˜ฉ like what's next? some posh people sitting on couches watching telly? and don't even get me started on those gardening shows ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ˜ด they're just so... dull. I mean, i guess if you like that sort of thing, but for me, there's gotta be something more to it than just telling me how to prune my roses.

and can we talk about Channel 4 for a sec? ๐Ÿ“บ their special episode of Gogglebox sounds super awkward, especially with all those celebrities crammed into one room ๐Ÿคฃ and then they got the nerve to air a documentary about cancer patients during that time too? just great, more depressing stuff for me to watch ๐Ÿ˜ฉ.

I just love how the TV lineup is getting more exciting tonight ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ‘€. I'm really looking forward to that special episode of Gogglebox on Channel 4, it's gonna be so much fun watching Kieran Culkin and Jazz Carton try to keep up with those silly reactions ๐Ÿ˜‚. And I have to say, the documentary about cancer patients is super thought-provoking - we need more shows like this that raise awareness about serious issues ๐Ÿค.

But what's up with all these cosy crime dramas on BBC One? Death in Paradise and Return to Paradise back-to-back - it's like they're trying to make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside ๐Ÿ˜Š. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love a good whodunit as much as the next person, but can't we have some more variety in our TV lineup? ๐Ÿค”.

And on a completely different note, has anyone else noticed how many shows are airing tonight about relationships and parenting? It's like we're all stuck in some kind of TV drama loop ๐Ÿ˜‚. Can't wait to see what happens next on All Her Fault and Daddy Issues... ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ‘ถ
