I mean, 510 million yen for a tuna is just insane! I'm not sure if it's the quality or the hype around it, but Kiyoshi Kimura must have some serious connections at Tsukiji to get that price . And yeah, I can see how someone could pay top dollar for something like that, especially if they're going to sell it for just 2.40 yen a roll ...still, it's crazy to think about!
I'm just wondering how someone can possibly think a 243kg bluefin tuna is worth 510 million yen... I mean, I get it if you're looking for good luck or whatever, but £2.4m is still crazy! And what's up with the quality being so amazing? Did they not have any other options at that price point? It just seems like a wild gamble to me... and all for someone to eat sushi and feel happy
im not surprised he paid that much he must have had a team of scientists analyzing the tuna's genetics or something lol but for real though 500 yen per roll is still crazy rich, i mean i've had some good sushi in my time but that's on another level
omg ! I'm loving this trend of super expensive bluefin tunas at Tokyo's Tsukiji market!!! 510 million yen is insane , but it seems Kiyoshi Kimura really knows what he's doing - that sushi just sounds divine . And to think, it was worth all the hype, bringing good fortune to customers who try it... what a bonus! I'm definitely not ready to break the bank on sushi anytime soon, but hey, if it's this good, who cares?
I mean, who knew buying a giant tuna could be so expensive lol 510 million yen is like, a small fortune! You'd think it'd come with some kinda guarantee that the sushi would taste good or something . But seriously though, 500 yen per roll sounds like a pretty penny. I guess it's worth it if you're feeling down on New Year's and want to feel all auspicious . Has anyone tried bluefin tuna before? Is it really as rich and sweet as everyone says it is?
Umm... I don't know if I agree that 510.3 million yen is a good investment ... I mean, for a tuna right? It just seems like way too much dough ... but at the same time, Kimura did say it's worth every penny because it brings good fortune and energy ... which is kinda true if you believe that stuff... or maybe he just wants to be called the Tuna King and get all the attention ... either way, I think 207 million yen for a smaller tuna last year was a much better deal
