The biggest new TV announcements at CES 2026 from Samsung, LG and TCL

Samsung, LG, and TCL have made significant TV announcements at CES 2026, showcasing the latest advancements in display technology. Samsung's flagship Micro RGB TVs take center stage, leveraging microscopic red, green, and blue LEDs to deliver a wider color gamut and more precise local luminance control.

The standout of the lineup is the jaw-dropping 130-inch Micro RGB concept, powered by Samsung's Micro RGB AI Engine Pro. This expanded family of TVs will start at more practical sizes — 55- and 65-inch — and go up to sizes as large as 75, 85, and 100 inches. The TV boasts a glare-free finish and ties into Samsung's broader Vision AI platform.

Samsung's OLED TVs continue the brand's use of quantum dot-enhanced panels, bringing brighter highlights and richer colors than older WOLED approaches. The flagship S95H retains its position as the most premium model, while the S90H brings optical layers and robust picture processing to a slightly more affordable price point. The S85H offers core OLED benefits in a more accessible package.

Meanwhile, LG's OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV makes a striking return at CES 2026, blending design flair with high-end performance. The panel itself is an astonishing 9mm thick and pairs with a Zero Connect Box that hosts all inputs and delivers wireless video feeds up to 10 meters away. LG’s Micro RGB evo TVs, on the other hand, bring a similar focus on wider color gamut and intense brightness, using α11 AI Processor Gen3 to handle advanced upscaling, local dimming, and dynamic HDR optimization.

TCL used CES 2026 to refine its approach with SQD technology, combining an enhanced quantum dot layer with a dense Mini LED backlight to improve color purity and brightness. The X11L SQD-Mini LED TV is TCL's new flagship model aimed squarely at large-screen home theater setups, boasting up to 10,000 nits peak brightness and a dense local dimming system with up to 20,000 dimming zones.

These TV announcements represent significant advancements in display technology, particularly with the emergence of Micro RGB and SQD. As CES continues, more TV announcements are expected from major manufacturers, which will be closely watched by industry experts and consumers alike.

I'm low-key obsessed with these new TV techs 🤯! Like, who needs a bigger screen when you can have one that's got insane color accuracy and contrast? The Micro RGB TVs sound like they're straight outta sci-fi land 💫. And I gotta say, 130-inch TV is straight fire 🔥, but like, are we really ready for those sizes at home? 🤔

🤯 these new TVs are insane!!! 130-inch screen is straight fire lol I dont know how u watch anything on that lol Samsung's Micro RGB TVs sound so good with that AI Engine Pro... but LG's OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV is a close second, I love the design of that thing 📺. TCL's SQD technology seems like a game changer too, 10,000 nits peak brightness is crazy 💥. It's gonna be hard to decide which one to get...

The TV wars have officially begun 📺🔥! Samsung's 130-inch behemoth has me speechless, I mean what's next? A 200-inch screen in the living room? 😂 But seriously, these advancements in display tech are mind-blowing – Micro RGB and SQD taking center stage. It's like a whole new world of colors and brightness is opening up for us. TCL's X11L looks like a beast too, with that insane 10,000 nits peak brightness... I'm still trying to wrap my head around it 💡. And LG's Wallpaper TV? Game-changer for those who want design on their wall 🎨. The more we see, the more excited I get! Can't wait to see what other manufacturers have up their sleeves 🤔. This is shaping up to be an epic year for TVs 🔥

im not sure about these super large tvs... 130-inch screen? that's just crazy! what's the point of having a tv that big? you can barely move in front of it without bumping into something 😂. and dont even get me started on the price tag, thats like buying a small car 🚗. i mean, sure they got some cool tech going on with micro rgb and sqd, but is it really worth it for something that big? maybe just smaller sizes with similar tech would be more practical...

I'm still trying to wrap my head around those crazy large TVs 🤯. 130-inch? That's insane! I mean, what's the point of having a giant screen that big? Don't get me wrong, it looks amazing in pictures, but how many people are gonna have one of those at home? And the price tag is gonna be outta this world 💸.

I'm still holding out for some decent gaming performance from these new TVs. I mean, if you're gonna have a massive screen like that, you need something that can keep up with your frame rate 📺. Samsung's got some good stuff going on with the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, but how much is it gonna cost me? And what about power consumption? All these new TVs are sounding like they're gonna be energy hogs ⚡️.

LG's design is looking pretty sleek, though 👍. That Wallpaper TV of theirs does look stunning. But at 9mm thick, that's just crazy 🤯. And the price point for those Micro RGB evo TVs? I'm not sure if it's worth it 💸.

TCL's got some interesting tech going on with their SQD technology, but it sounds like it's still in its infancy 🌱. 10,000 nits peak brightness is just wild 🔥. Can't wait to see what the rest of CES has in store 🎉.

🤔 I'm loving the size options for Samsung's Micro RGB TVs - 55-65 inches is a great starting point. But, I gotta ask, a 130-inch TV? Is that even practical? 🙅‍♂️ I mean, think about all the space you'd need to set it up and power it... I'm not sure I'd want to deal with that glare-free finish, either - I like my TVs to have some visual character. 😐 LG's OLED evo Wallpaper TV looks insane, though! That 9mm panel is crazy thick. And TCL's SQD-Mini LED tech sounds promising - up to 10,000 nits peak brightness? That's bright! 🌟
