‘Playdate’: Rotten Tomatoes Critics Crush Alan Ritchson And Kevin James’ Comedy

Umm... I dont no man ... I was expecting something way more epic from Alan Ritchson and Kevin James together ... Playdate just sounds like a bunch of dudes running around and causing trouble without any real purpose or substance, you know? Like, where's the story? The fact that critics are panning it is kinda surprising to me tho, I mean, its an action comedy, thats what people expect from those types of movies ... Maybe Im just being a hater tho

I'm soooo disappointed in 'Playdate' , I was hyped to watch Alan Ritchson and Kevin James together on screen , but honestly, it feels like they're just phoning it in . The critics are right, the movie is a bit of a mess , with some parts that make me LOL and others that just leave me scratching my head .

Ritchson's performance does stand out tho , he brings this absurd energy to his character and makes it kinda endearing . But, overall, I think the film is forgettable and only worth watching if you're a die-hard fan of Ritchson or James .

Maybe I'm just being too harsh , but 'Playdate' didn't live up to my expectations . Still, I love Kevin James in other movies, he's hilarious !

Ugh, I just watched this movie and I gotta say, it was a total letdown ! I mean, who thought "zero tactical skills" was a believable character trait? It felt like they took all the old Die Hard tropes, threw 'em in a blender, and hit puree . And don't even get me started on the plot holes - it was like they just phoned it in and hoped for the best .

But hey, I did love Alan Ritchson's performance ! He's always been a fan fave of mine, and he really brought that energy to this role. Too bad the rest of the movie didn't live up to his talent . And yeah, Kevin James is still funny... in small doses, anyway . Sarah Chalke and Isla Fisher were also solid, but they got lost in all the chaos .

All in all, I'd say "Playdate" was a mess of a movie - not worth the 2 hours you'll spend watching it . But hey, if you're a fan of action comedies like this, go for it! Just don't expect me to be raving about it anytime soon .

omg u guys gotta watch playdate!!!! i was literally laughing out loud in the cinema like 3 times during the movie and people around me were giving me weird looks lol anyway seriously tho alan ritchson is a total genius in this film his energy is infectious and it makes up for like half of the movie's flaws but idk man critics are super harsh cuz i thought it was hilarious at first but after rewatching it idk maybe im just blinded by alans awesomeness lol anyway if u wanna feel stupid laughing at some dumb jokes go watch playdate!!!

I'm so meh about this one... I mean, Alan Ritchson and Kevin James are both talented actors, but "Playdate" just doesn't seem to click with me . It sounds like a fun premise on paper, but the fact that it's getting roasted by critics is a bit of a letdown . I love a good action comedy as much as the next person, but when everyone's saying it's "remarkably stupid"... I don't know, man . Still, maybe I'll give it a shot and see if it lives up to Ritchson's absurd energy ?
