NYPD searching for 2 men in nearly 20 Manhattan and Bronx robberies, usually armed

New York City Police Department Launches Manhunt for Armed Robbery Duo Targeting Men in Manhattan and the Bronx

In a string of nearly two dozen robberies spanning September to this week, the NYPD is now on high alert to apprehend two men who allegedly targeted victims while armed. The suspects have been linked to 16 incidents across Manhattan and the Bronx, with most described as armed robberies.

According to police reports, the most recent heist occurred in SoHo this week when one of the men fired a gun outside a residential building on Charlton Street and Sixth Avenue while stealing a handbag from a 59-year-old man. The victim was left unharmed, but witnesses reported hearing gunfire; no one else was struck by bullets.

Surveillance footage appears to show the suspects fleeing on two-wheeled vehicles, often on gray or green scooters. Police have also obtained images of one suspect wearing a black jacket, hood with white triangle trim, and carrying a backpack while riding what looks like an electric motorbike.

While most incidents targeted men between 19 and 60 years old, the perpetrators primarily stole their neck chains โ€“ although they also took cash and a few bicycles. One victim was struck in the head by a gun during a robbery on September 30, but refused medical attention at the scene.

The NYPD has reported that robberies citywide have decreased over 9% this year compared to the same period last year, with similar declines seen in Manhattan and the Bronx.

Police are now urging anyone with information about these incidents to come forward. They can be reached through the Crime Stoppers Hotline (1-800-577-TIPS) or online at the Crime Stoppers website. The investigation is ongoing as new details become available.

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿคฏ these guys are on the loose and NYPD is doing their best to catch them! I feel for all those victims who got robbed, especially that one guy who got hit in the head ๐Ÿค• and refused medical attention - no thanks, man! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I gotta say, the grey or green scooters they're riding on are straight out of a movie ๐ŸŽฅ. Like, what's up with that? Are they trying to be some kind of vigilantes? ๐Ÿค” And those neck chains got stolen too?! What a loss for those guys ๐Ÿ’ธ.

On the bright side, the NYPD says robberies citywide have decreased by 9% this year... that's something, right? ๐Ÿ‘ Now, if only these two dudes would give up already and turn themselves in ๐Ÿ˜…. Let's hope they get caught soon! ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ’จ

๐Ÿšจ I'm not buying it ๐Ÿšจ. 16 incidents across Manhattan and the Bronx, and suddenly these guys are linked to a string of armed robberies? That's some convenient timing for the NYPD to go on high alert. And what about the victims' stories? One guy was hit in the head by a gun and still refused medical attention? That doesn't add up. Where's the video evidence of these "two-wheeled vehicles" with gray or green scooters? Have they actually seen this footage themselves, or is it just some grainy surveillance footage? ๐Ÿค”

OMG, these guys sound super scary ๐Ÿคฏ! Like, I get it, they need to catch the robbers ASAP but can't they just put up some CCTV cameras already? ๐Ÿ“ธ It's not like they're gonna find the perps in time, and more people are getting hurt. And what's with the grey and green scooters tho? Are they, like, super hard to track? ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ I feel bad for all those neck chains, though - that's some major inconvenience ๐Ÿ˜’

This is getting out of hand, you know? Like 2 guys on scooters are causing all this chaos and no one's doing anything about it ๐Ÿค”. I mean, I'm glad no one got hurt or killed but it's still super scary for the victims. What's even crazier is that they're just taking neck chains... like what do you even want with those? ๐Ÿ’Ž. The fact that police are actually finding these guys on their scooters is wild though ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

I'm not saying I condone what they're doing but come on, it's a real public safety issue now ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. If anyone's got any info, they should totally hit up Crime Stoppers and get this over with ASAP ๐Ÿ’ฅ. We need to stay vigilant, NYC ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ. The drop in robberies citywide is great but we can't let our guard down yet ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ.

omg, these guys are so reckless ๐Ÿคฏ, shooting guns and stealing stuff... like what's next? a mugging while walking their dog ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ˜‚ but seriously, police should get those scooters ASAP they're just too easy to spot on video ๐Ÿ˜… the victims need help, like mental health support or something... can't even handle being robbed ๐Ÿ’”

Ugh, great, just what we need - a pair of armed robbers running amok in Manhattan and the Bronx ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ˜ก. Like, what's next? A gang of violent thugs taking over Central Park? I mean, I get it, crime rates have gone down overall this year, but that doesn't mean these two idiots aren't still out there causing chaos. And don't even get me started on those scooters - just waiting to be used as getaway vehicles... ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜’. I'm sure the NYPD is doing everything they can to catch these guys, but let's be real, it's gonna take a miracle for them to actually apprehend these two before someone gets hurt badly ๐Ÿ’”.

๐Ÿšจ they gotta do better than just 9% decrease in robberies... that's not exactly reassuring considering how many people are still getting hit ๐Ÿค‘ these guys on scooters are super sketchy, why haven't they been caught yet? ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ

man this NYPD stuff is getting crazy ๐Ÿšจ they gotta catch those robbers ASAP but its wild that theyre using scooters to get away ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ and electric motorbikes too ๐Ÿคฏ i mean what next? drones?! ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ anyone know how the police are tracking them down? they gotta have some kinda tech on their side ๐Ÿ” idk about the decrease in citywide robberies tho...9% is a big drop, but like what if they just shifted to other neighborhoods now?

omg u guys, this armed robbery situation in NYC is so crazy! ๐Ÿคฏ i mean, 2 dudes on a mission to rob anyone who gets in their way? ๐Ÿšซ police need to catch these suspects ASAP, for the safety of everyone in Manhattan and the Bronx! ๐Ÿ’ช the fact that they only targeted men between 19-60 yrs old with neck chains is super weird, what's next? ๐Ÿ˜‚ anyway, let's hope the NYPD gets some leads from Crime Stoppers ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ’ก #JusticeForNYC #ArmedRobberyAlert #CrimeStoppersRocks

๐Ÿšจ gotta feel bad for those guys who got robbed, but like what's with these scooter thieves tho? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ they're just cruisin' around SoHo with guns and snatchin' handbags left and right... I mean I get it, times are tough, but this is NYC, fam! We gotta look out for each other ๐Ÿ’•. On a more serious note, I'm glad to hear that robberies have gone down citywide, that's some solid work by the NYPD ๐Ÿ™Œ. But like, these suspects still need to be caught ASAP โฐ... 2-wheeled vehicles just don't belong on our streets ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Anybody got info? Hit up Crime Stoppers and let's get these dudes off the streets! ๐Ÿ‘ฎ

๐Ÿšจ just saw that NYPD is on high alert for 2 guys robbing men in Manhattan & Bronx, armed robbery spree ๐Ÿคฏ they got away on scooters ๐Ÿ›ด๏ธ and stolen neck chains from victims ๐Ÿ˜” 9% less robberies citywide this year compared to last ๐Ÿ™Œ Crime Stoppers Hotline is open if anyone's seen something or knows anything ๐Ÿ’ฌ

omg these guys are so reckless! i mean, what's with all the guns & scooters? they're just asking to get caught ๐Ÿšจ. and targeting men like that, it's super uncomfortable for witnesses too. have you seen those surveillance vids, the bike looks so old-school ๐Ÿ›ด๏ธ. anyway, glad police are on the case now. crime stops when people come forward & report stuff ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ. 9% less robberies this year is def a win in my book ๐Ÿ’ฏ

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ I'm thinking we got a major uptick in robberies this year, especially targeting men between 19 and 60 in Manhattan & Bronx - 2 dozen+ incidents already! ๐Ÿ“ˆ Stats show 9% decrease citywide compared to last year. Police are doing their best to track these armed robbers on scooters ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿšฒ but it's getting harder with new victims coming forward every day ๐Ÿคฏ The main item they're swiping? Neck chains, followed by cash & bikes ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ Anyways, Crime Stoppers hotline is now open - keep sharing info if you see or hear anything! ๐Ÿ”‡

I'm not sure I buy into all this hype about these two guys being super scary robbers ๐Ÿค”. Like, what's with all the drama around them? They're just taking some stuff from people and running away... it's not like they're hurting anyone for real ๐Ÿ˜’. And yeah, 9% decrease in robberies citywide is kinda cool, but let's not forget that crime rates were already pretty low last year too ๐Ÿ“Š. I'm just saying, we shouldn't make these guys out to be some kind of superheroes or supervillains... they're just regular dudes trying to make a quick buck ๐Ÿ’ธ. And btw, what's with all the surveillance footage? Can't people just leave them alone? ๐Ÿšซ

OMG, like, this is getting SO wild!! ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Those two dudes are on the loose and it's terrifying! I'm literally shaking thinking about all those men being targeted with guns ๐Ÿคฏ and neck chains taken ๐Ÿ’Ž. The fact that they stole cash too is just basic theft, but hey, at least no one got seriously hurt (fingers crossed) ๐Ÿ™. I'm low-key impressed by the NYPD's 9% decrease in robberies this year tho ๐Ÿ‘. Fingers crossed they catch these guys ASAP and put an end to this! ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ’จ

omg did u know that NYC has like, the best pizza spots in the world?! i mean i just went to this tiny spot in Greenwich Village and it was LIFE.CHANGING. they have this one slice that's gotta be the perfect combo of cheese, sauce, and crust...anyway, i was thinking about how the NYPD must have so much on their plate what with all these robberies happening but also trying to make NYC an awesome tourist destination ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ—ฝ๏ธ

This news hits me on a deeper level, you know? Like, what's the root of these guys' desperation that they'd resort to armed robbery like this? Is it economic struggle, feelings of invisibility in the city, or something else entirely?

I mean, we hear about the stats โ€“ 9% decrease in robberies โ€“ but it feels like a surface-level fix. It's still not addressing the underlying issues that led these guys down this path. We're so quick to focus on the perpetrators instead of exploring why they felt like taking drastic measures.

It makes me wonder if our society has become too comfortable, too oblivious to the struggles of those around us. Are we ignoring the warning signs? Is it up to each individual to take responsibility for creating a more compassionate community?

And what about the victims? Like that 59-year-old man who got his handbag stolen... did he feel seen or ignored after reporting this incident? Do these robberies make him feel like a tiny cog in an unforgiving machine?

It's all too much for me to process, but I guess that's why we have conversations like this. We need to dig deeper than just the facts and figures.

๐Ÿšจ You know, this whole thing got me thinking - what's going on with our city's crime rates? I mean, yeah, it's good to hear that robberies have decreased overall, but 9% is still a pretty big drop... or is it? Is it just a fluke or are we really seeing some progress? And then you gotta ask yourself, what's driving this? Is it just these two guys and their scooters or is there something deeper at play?

And let's talk about surveillance footage - how much of a role should technology play in law enforcement? I mean, the NYPD's got some solid tools here, but are they being used effectively? And what about those incidents where people refused medical attention? That's just crazy... it's like we're living in some kind of vigilante fantasy world.

But for real, though - how do we keep our communities safe? Is it through more surveillance or community engagement? We need to be talking about this stuff and not just focusing on individual perpetrators. ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿค” I'm kinda worried about this, you know? These guys are still on the loose and it's only a matter of time before they strike again. The fact that they're targeting men in their 20s to 60s, taking neck chains, cash, and bikes... it's like they're going for the low-hanging fruit or something. ๐Ÿค‘

I mean, have you seen those surveillance footage vids? Two guys on scooters, riding around like they own the place? It's wild. But what I find even more concerning is that they're not just targeting random people - they're specifically looking for men who wear neck chains. Like, what's their angle here? Are they trying to make a statement or something?

The NYPD says robberies are down 9% this year, which is a good thing, but it doesn't necessarily mean these guys aren't still out there. We need to stay vigilant and report any info we have to the authorities ASAP. ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ It's always better to be safe than sorry, right? ๐Ÿ’ก
