US Rep. Nancy Mace unleashed a verbal barrage on law enforcement at the Charleston International Airport, cursing and berating police officers who were tasked with escorting her to her flight. According to an incident report obtained under South Carolina's Freedom of Information Act, Mace targeted TSA agents and aviation authority police officers, calling them "Fucking incompetent" and suggesting they wouldn't treat a fellow politician like Senator Tim Scott.

Mace was initially supposed to be met at 6:30 am by the officers but ended up running late. When she finally arrived, she quickly launched into a tirade, shouting curses and insults at the officers. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) supervisor present told Mace that TSA agents had been treated similarly, prompting an investigation.
