How Horford, Melton help Warriors unlock winning combination

Golden State Warriors Coach Steve Kerr has found his winning formula, and it's largely thanks to the emergence of veteran signings Al Horford and De'Anthony Melton. The duo has brought stability to the team's rotation, allowing Kerr to settle on a consistent starting five that's been clicking.

With 19 points against the Sacramento Kings on Friday, Melton is finally seeing some success after his return from knee surgery. Meanwhile, Horford is thriving in his new role, shooting 45.2% from three-point range while playing in seven of nine games since Christmas.

Kerr praised the chemistry between Melton and Horford, saying they're setting a good tone when on the court and understand that they need to play through Jimmy Butler first. The Warriors' second unit has become a force to be reckoned with, and their recent success suggests they've finally found their winning combination.

The team's consistency is partly due to the emergence of Melton and Horford, who have helped create a second unit that can carry the load when Curry isn't on the court. Kerr plans to increase Melton's playing time, which should help his production even more.

Curry echoed Kerr's sentiments, saying the recent success is thanks in part to Melton and Horford. The two veterans are helping to connect certain lineups, and their addition has changed the team dynamic significantly.

For now, it seems that Kerr's decision-making may have cost him in a fantasy football league, but it's paid off on the court. As long as Melton and Horford continue to perform well, the Warriors should remain in contention for a playoff spot.

omg I'm so down for this move! the warriors were struggling without curry and with melton back they're finally clicking 🤩💥 i think its great that kerr is giving melton more playing time, he's been getting some solid minutes off the bench but now he can show what he's got. horford's shooting from 3 is a game changer too! it's awesome to see these vets stepping up and making a difference 💪🔥 I'm loving the chemistry between melton and horford too, they're like the dynamic duo of the playoffs 🤝👊

👀 they're actually playing smart now 🤔, no more 3-and-D or bench warming for De'Anthony 🙌 Al Horford's been a game changer too, his 3PT % is insane 🔥 and it's great to see the chemistry between him and Melton finally paying off 💪 Curry's happy with the new vibe and that's all that matters 👍 the team's consistency now is a big deal 📈

🚨🏀 OMG you guys! I just checked the stats and Al Horford is on FIRE 🔥 with that 45.2% three-point range! And De'Anthony Melton's finally getting back to his old self after knee surgery 💪. Their chemistry is REAL 🔩, they're setting a good tone for the rest of the team.

Here's a quick breakdown of their numbers: Horford's been playing in 7 out of 9 games since Christmas and shooting 45.2% from three-point range 📈. Melton's average points per game have gone up significantly after his return, averaging 11.5ppg. And the Warriors' second unit is killing it 🔥!

Here are some charts to show you what I mean: 📊

* Horford's three-point percentage since Christmas:
+ Dec: 30.0%
+ Jan: 42.9%
+ Feb: 45.2% 🚀
* Melton's points per game since his return:
+ Week 1-4: 6.3ppg
+ Week 5-8: 11.5ppg
+ Week 9-present: 15.5ppg 🔝

Kerr's decision to sign these guys was a solid move 👍! The Warriors are in contention for a playoff spot as long as Melton and Horford keep producing. 🏆

I'm loving how this team is shaping up! 🤩 I was thinking of watching some basketball recently and now I'm excited to tune in. That's awesome that Al Horford is hitting threes like crazy... 45.2% is crazy good! 😂 Melton's been on the injury list for ages, so it's great to see him back out there contributing. And with Curry not playing every game (he's a warrior after all, he needs rest 😉), the second unit is really making a difference. Kerr must be doing something right... I'm not exactly a basketball expert but even I can tell that's a winning formula! 🏆

OMG I'm so glad to see Steve Kerr finally getting his team together! 🤩 It's like he found that secret sauce recipe 🔥 and added Al Horford & De'Anthony Melton to the mix 💪. Those guys have been such a huge help, stability-wise, you know? And now Melton's finally back from injury and killing it on the court 💥. Curry's happy too which is all that matters for us Warriors fans 😊. I was really worried about our team this season but with these new signings we're looking solid 🔒. The second unit is on fire and if they keep playing like this, I'm sure we'll be making some noise in the playoffs 🎉.

I don’t usually comment but I gotta say, this Al Horford signing has been a game-changer for the Warriors 🤯. I mean, 45.2% from three-point range is insane! And De’Anthony Melton coming back from injury and finally hitting his stride is super reassuring for the team 💪. They really needed that stability in their rotation and it shows. The chemistry between Melton and Horford is undeniable - they're like a well-oiled machine out there 🔄. Now, I know some people might say Kerr took a risk with his starting lineup decisions, but from what I can see, it's working out 🔜. As long as Melton and Horford keep killing it, the Warriors are golden 💛.

Wow 🤩, I'm loving how this season is shaping up for the Golden State Warriors! Interesting, they've been able to find stability with these two new signings, and it's really paying off. Al Horford is straight fire from three-point range 😅, and De'Anthony Melton's getting some serious minutes now that he's back from injury. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and Jimmy Butler is definitely benefitting from having them on the court. I'm excited to see how this second unit keeps it up!

I'm so over how cluttered this site is 🤯😩... like, can't we just have some decent formatting or something?! It's hard to even read the comments when everything is all jumbled up 💔. And don't even get me started on the font – it's like they took a bunch of different fonts and mashed them together into this ugly mess 🤮.

Anyway, back to the Warriors... I think it's great that Kerr finally found his winning formula with Melton and Horford joining the team 🙌. They're really helping stabilize the rotation and create some chemistry 💥. It's also good to see Curry acknowledging their contributions – he's been a bit quiet lately 🤔.

I'm not playing fantasy football, but I do think this is the kind of move that'll help the Warriors stay competitive in the playoffs ⚽️. Of course, we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out... fingers crossed! 🤞

so i was watching the warriors game last friday and i couldn't believe how good melton was looking like after his surgery 🤩, he's been through so much but it's amazing to see him back on track. al horford is pretty cool too, 45% from three-point range is crazy 💥, and it's awesome that curry and kerr are saying the same thing about them being the key to their recent success. i'm not a huge fantasy football fan, but even i can see how melton and horford have changed the team dynamic 👍, they're like the ultimate role models for the young guys on the team 🙌. it's going to be fun to watch them play together all season 💪

🤔 I gotta say, I was thinking about how Curry used to be the only one carrying this team on his back, and now it's like we've got two legit leaders emerging in Melton and Horford 🌟. It's crazy how much of a difference they've made, and I'm not surprised Kerr is hyping them up so much. The chemistry between those two is real 🔍. But what's even more impressive is that they're creating a new identity for the team, one where they can win without Curry on the court 🤝. And let's be real, Melton's been riding hot off his injury comeback and he's killing it 💥! I'm not sure if Kerr made the right move in fantasy football, but this is all good news for us Warriors fans 😊.

I'm so stoked about what's happening with the Warriors right now 🤩 they're finally finding that winning formula and it's all thanks to Al Horford and De'Anthony Melton coming on strong 💪 I mean, 45.2% from three-point range is no joke for Horford, and Melton's finally starting to live up to his potential after that knee surgery 🙏. It's great to see Kerr trusting these guys and giving them more playing time, too – it's definitely paying off.

And can we talk about how much of a difference the second unit is making? 🔄 They're becoming this force to be reckoned with on their own, which is amazing considering Curry isn't even on the court for most of those games. It just goes to show that Kerr made some savvy moves in the offseason.

I'm loving the chemistry between Melton and Horford – it's like they're setting the tone for the rest of the team and getting everyone else on board 💯. And with Curry nodding in agreement, I think we can say this is a winning combination 🏆

I'm loving this new vibe the Warriors have going on 🤩! It feels like they're finally settling into a rhythm, reminds me of when we used to watch the 2015 squad with Steph, Klay, and Andre Iguodala - all that depth and talent was just so exciting to watch! And now with Melton and Horford stepping up, it's like having two veteran anchors holding everything together 💪. Kerr's got his formula figured out, and I'm loving the way he's using the second unit to carry the load when Curry isn't on the court 🔄. It's a whole new dynamic, but still feels so... Warriors 😎

I'm loving this recent resurgence of the Warriors 🤩! It's like they've found that missing piece they were lacking after Curry's injury. The chemistry between Melton and Horford is undeniable, and it's amazing to see how they're elevating the entire team. I think Kerr made some great moves in signing those guys, especially during the off-season when everyone was saying they needed a boost 🤝.

I'm curious to see how Melton's playing time increases, though - can he keep up the scoring pace? And what about the rest of the lineup? Are we gonna see more of that second unit shine? The way Kerr's trusting them to carry the load without Curry on the court is a big step forward 🔄. It's like he's giving them permission to be heroes, and it's working so far 👏.

Fantasy football leagues might have been affected by his decisions, but this team's performance is the real MVP 💯! I'm all in for watching Melton and Horford continue to thrive - they're the heartbeat of this Warriors squad ❤️.

I'm lovin' how the Warriors are gettin' back on track! 🤩 It's like they found that magic formula Kerr was talkin' about 😊. I mean, those veteran signings really do bring stability to the team and allow Kerr to experiment with different lineups. Melton's been quiet for ages after his injury, but now he's lookin' sharp 💡! And Horford, man... 45.2% from three-point range? 🔥 that's some serious firepower! I love how Curry's gettin' on board with Kerr's strategy too 👊 it's like they're a well-oiled machine 🤖

I'm loving how this new addition is helping the Warriors find their groove 🤩! It's all about finding that balance and chemistry on the court, you know? Kerr's made some great calls bringing in Melton and Horford - they're like glue right now, holding everything together 💪. And it's not just about them, but how they're elevating the rest of the team too. I mean, Butler's a beast, but with Melton and Horford playing so well, he's got some serious support 🤝. It'll be interesting to see how this continues to play out, but for now, I'm all in on the Warriors' chances 💛

🤫 I'm low-key impressed with how Kerr played his cards, signing those vets to shore up the squad. Al Horford's been on fire from 3-point range and De'Anthony Melton's finding his groove again after that knee surgery 🤞. The chemistry between them is real, and it's nice to see the second unit becoming a game-changer for the Warriors. It's all about finding that balance when Steph isn't on the court, but I think they've got this down now 🔥. Kerr might not be winning fantasy football leagues, but he's definitely winning games with his bold move 💪.

idk what you guys are talking about... I mean i think steve kerr finally figured out his thing with al horford and de'anthony melton lol those two have been straight fire for the warriors lately and it's crazy to see them click like that 🤯🔥 their chemistry is so real and they're setting that good tone when they're on the court 💪 meanwhile, curry's still being his usual clutch self but i think melton and horford are the x factor now 😎

ugh I cant believe they had to sign Al Horford its like 38 yrs old dude 🤦‍♂️ what is the point of having a vet like him on the team? hes gonna be injured more often than not and when he plays, hes just shooting 45% from three...that's it. Melton is actually pretty cool I guess but Kerr shouldnt have benched Curry so much 🤔 we would be in 3rd place right now if Steph was playing like he used to...oh well, atleast the 2nd unit is decent
