. I mean, you'd think that just because Halloween is on a Friday, it wouldn't affect the box office too much. But I guess that's what happened. And yeah, Tron: Ares was supposed to be a big deal, but it just didn't live up to the hype
. It's like people were just meh about it, you know?
And can we talk about how crazy low The Smashing Machine and After the Hunt did? Like, what even is going on with those movies?
I don't get it. I mean, I've seen some weird box office trends before, but this one's got me stumped.
On the bright side, though, Taylor Swift's concert film was fire
. I'm glad that at least something worked out for her fans. Maybe the industry just needs to take a step back and reevaluate what kind of movies they're making?

). The thing is, studios have been trying to replicate the success of Marvel movies for years now, and it's just not happening. And don't even get me started on the timing of Halloween... I mean, if you're gonna release a horror movie in October, make sure it's actually scary or something! 
The fact that Black Phone 2 tanked is no surprise, though - who thought a sequel to a movie nobody saw would be a good idea?

north americas box office is like super bad! they only made 425 mil in october which is waaay less than last year when ppl were still tryna recover from covid 
and its all cuz of bad movies lol tron: ares was so hyped but it was just meh 
and the halloween weekend was a total bust with low turnout and some trash movie choices like black phone 2 which made only 8 mil
