I THOUGHT IT WAS COOL THAT JOYCE DIDONATO IS TRYING TO MAKE OPERA MORE ACCESSIBLE AND RELATABLE! SHE'S RIGHT THAT TRADITIONAL OPERA CAN BE A BIT STUFFY AT TIMES, BUT I BELIEVE THERE'S STILL ROOM FOR GREAT CLASSICAL MUSIC OUT THERE. WHAT I LOVE ABOUT HER APPROACH IS THAT SHE'S NOT JUST FOCUSED ON HER VOCAL ABILITIES, BUT ON CONNECTING WITH THE AUDIENCE ON AN EMOTIONAL LEVEL. IT'S LIKE SHE'S TRYING TO TELL US A STORY THROUGH MUSIC RATHER THAN JUST SINGING NOTES
