Former conductor to lead Philharmonia Baroque in concert series

Baroque Music Returns to Palo Alto and Stanford with Maestro Nicholas McGegan at the Helm

Maestro Nicholas McGegan is set to lead Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale in a series of concerts in January and February. Later that month, McGegan will conduct "Baroque Garlands" at Stanford's Bing Concert Hall on February 8th. The program includes the world premiere of a new edition of Rameau's "La Guirlande," which promises to be an exciting highlight in Philharmonia Baroque's lineup.

Tickets for both concerts are now available, with prices ranging from $40 to $135. Fans can get their tickets by visiting Philharmonia.org. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the rich sounds of Baroque music under McGegan's masterful direction.

The music just transports me to another era... it's like I'm sipping tea with Mozart himself 🎢😊. And can you believe Maestro McGegan is back on stage after 35 years?! Talk about a legend returning to form! I hope they play some Handel too, that's my fave... anyway, I'm totally getting tickets for these concerts, might just have to splurge for the premier of Rameau's "La Guirlande" πŸ€‘

Umm, baroque music coming back in style? i mean, i'm all for exploring different genres and whatnot πŸ€” but 35 years of maestro nicholas mcgegan leading philharmonia baroque orchestra & chorale seems like a pretty big deal to me. maybe he's just the right conductor for the job? anyway, it'll be interesting to see how they mix in some traditional syrian and moroccan songs with the baroque vibes 🎡

OMG 🀩 - I'm so stoked about this! Maestro Nicholas McGegan is literally a legend when it comes to Baroque music, and I've been waiting for him to come back to Palo Alto for ages. January can't come soon enough! πŸ˜‚ I love how Philharmonia's Jews & Music series celebrates the connection between Baroque and traditional Middle Eastern music - it sounds like such a unique and fascinating experience πŸŽ΅πŸ‘. And, of course, getting to see Rameau's "La Guirlande" performed live is basically a dream come true for me! πŸ’« I'm defo buying tix for both concerts - anyone else going? 🎟️

Oh man I'm so stoked that Baroque music is making a comeback in Palo Alto and Stanford! Nicholas McGegan is like, the ultimate conductor, right? He's been leading Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale for 35 years, which is insane. I love that they're doing a series of concerts with a focus on Jewish culture and traditional Middle Eastern music - it's gonna be so interesting to see how they blend all those different styles together 🎢🌍

I'm also super hyped about the world premiere of Rameau's "La Guirlande" at Stanford. I've heard that McGegan is, like, a total genius when it comes to Baroque music - can't wait to experience it for myself! Tickets are already out, so if you're a fan of classical music (or just love live performance), get 'em while they're hot! 🎟️

OMG I just love classical music but I'm so confused why there's still no one on YouTube that makes these old songs easy to understand for newbies like me πŸ˜‚... I mean, I know I can watch orchestras perform and they're all talented etc but sometimes I feel like it's too much info going on 🀯. Can someone explain why we need special programs with different composers? Like, isn't that just Baroque music?! 🎡 Do people still make new versions of old songs? Is it for fun or something?

Just what we need more fancy classical music in Palo Alto! I mean, I love Baroque music as much as the next person, but can't they just play some tunes that don't make you want to fall asleep 😴? But seriously, Maestro McGegan is a legend and I'm stoked he's back on stage. Philharmonia's Jews & Music series is a great way to bring people together over music 🎡. And who knows, maybe it'll even get some of the younger folks in town interested in classical music πŸ€”? Still not sure if I can swing that high price point tho... maybe they should offer student discounts πŸ€‘

Baroque music is back in Palo Alto and I'm kinda stoked 🀣, not that I've been waiting with bated breath for this return or anything... Anyway, Maestro Nicholas McGegan is basically a legend at this point, 35 years with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale? That's like me being stuck in one browser tab since Chrome 1.0 πŸ™„, yeah no thanks! But seriously, who doesn't love a good ol' Baroque concert featuring some Rameau and Rossi? And Syria/Morocco tunes thrown in for good measure? Sounds like my grandma's birthday party (minus the grandma part)... Anyway, tickets are out now, so grab 'em while they're hot... or not.

omg just saw this 🀩 i've always loved baroque music and maestro mcgegan is like a god conductor 😍 been listening to his recordings for ages can't wait for these concerts! the program at stanford sounds amazing, especially that rameau premiere 🎡 has anyone seen philharmonia baroque live before? what's the vibe like at their shows? πŸ’•

omg I've been waiting for this 🀩 Palo Alto is gonna be lit with Maestro Nicholas McGegan leading the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale! I'm such a huge fan of Baroque music and I know my friends in school are too. We've had some awesome music class sessions where we've learned about different composers like Rameau, who's gonna be performed for the first time ever at Stanford? 🎢 Can't wait to see if our music teacher is planning on taking us there! 😍

🎡 just heard this news and i'm like totally stoked about baroque music returning to stanford 🀩 maestro nicholas mcgegan is a legend and i've always been fascinated by his work, all that intricate harpsichord playing and orchestral magic... can't wait for the concert in january, but also super excited about the world premiere of rameau's la guirlande - that sounds like an epic performance 🎢 anyone else going to these concerts?

Ugh, I don't get why they have to bring back Baroque music every 5 years πŸ™„. Can't they just stick with something modern for once? I mean, I know some people love that classical stuff, but it's so overplayed now. And what's up with these fancy concert series and premieres? It feels like they're trying too hard to impress us with "artsy" stuff 🎨. But hey, if you're into that Baroque vibe, go for it, I guess... just don't expect me to join the crowd 😴.
