Cheltenham tips: Spindleberry fancied to land Mares' Chase crown for Willie Mullins

Spindleberry Seeks Glory: Willie Mullins' Fancied Hurdler Set to Topline Mares' Chase

With the Cheltenham Festival looming large, ante-post contenders are being scrutinized by seasoned racing insiders. One name that's caught the attention of Weekend Winners trio Kate Tracey, Sam Boswell, and Declan Rix is Spindleberry, Willie Mullins' talented mare set to take on the best in the Mares' Chase.

Boswell's insight into the impressive form of Spindleberry at Doncaster suggests she's a shoo-in for the Cheltenham prize. In a listed Mares' Chase, the 9-year-old triumphed with ease under her experienced mount, further cementing her reputation as one of the top mares in training.

While some pundits may question whether Spindleberry is ready to tackle the top-level competition at Cheltenham, Boswell remains convinced. "She looks like she could be destined for greatness," he opines. "Her run over fences has been impressive and we're starting to see her build on that form."

Interestingly, another contender in the mix is Lossiemouth, who's drifted somewhat in the betting for the Mares' Chase. However, Boswell notes that Mullins is known for being patient, and it wouldn't be a surprise if Spindleberry took the lead over the seasoned veteran.

For his part, Declan Rix sees potential in Sir Gino, although doubts remain about the horse's ability to overcome its previous outing at Kempton. Nonetheless, he believes there's "a hell of a beating" awaiting Mullins' mount in the Champion Hurdle, leaving him optimistic for Spindleberry's prospects.

While it remains to be seen how the odds will unfold, one thing is certain: Willie Mullins' star mare is on everyone's radar as she prepares to make her mark at the prestigious Cheltenham Festival.

I think Spindleberry has a good shot at that Mares' Chase 🐴💪, but I'm a bit surprised no one's talking about how much experience she has under Willie Mullins' guidance. I mean, the guy's won like a gazillion championships with his horses before! Mullins knows what he's doing and Spindleberry seems to be feeling pretty confident on the track. Kate Tracey and Sam Boswell might know their stuff, but I think Declan Rix has some good points about Sir Gino too... could be an interesting showdown between those two at Cheltenham 🤔

🤔 This whole Spindleberry business got me thinking 🐴... if she's that good, why hasn't she been favored from the start? I mean, you don't see horses rising from obscurity like this all the time. It feels like everyone's just catching on now that the Cheltenham Festival is around the corner 🏆. Either way, it'll be interesting to see how she stacks up against the best mares in the country 💪.

I think some people are getting a bit carried away with Spindleberry being the shoo-in for the Mares' Chase lol 🙄. I mean, we've seen horses like that before and they always seem to come up just short 🤦‍♀️. That being said, Willie Mullins is no joke when it comes to training, so I'm keeping an eye on her for sure 🐴💪. It's also interesting to see the other contenders like Lossiemouth and Sir Gino - they've both got some great form going into the festival, but you never know what can happen in Cheltenham 🤔. Maybe Spindleberry will surprise us all? 😏

I'm intrigued by all the hype around Spindleberry 🤔... I mean, a 9-year-old winning with ease? That's some serious experience! But, you know, maybe it's not just about the age? Willie Mullins' got a proven track record of developing horses into champions. Maybe Spindleberry's got what it takes? 🏆 On the other hand, I'm a bit skeptical about Sir Gino... losing at Kempton isn't exactly a confidence booster 😳... Still, you've gotta love the optimism! 💖 What do you guys think? Am I just being too cautious or is there something to Declan's doubts? 🤔

I'm loving this time of year in racing! Spindleberry is definitely one to watch 🐴🏆 I mean, 9 years old and still going strong? That's impressive! Mullins' got a knack for producing top-notch talent, so it's hard not to think she's got a good shot at the Mares' Chase. But, you know, Cheltenham's a whole different beast 🤔. I'm intrigued by Lossiemouth, too - will Spindleberry be able to take down the seasoned veteran? And what about Sir Gino? He's got some tough competition ahead of him in the Champion Hurdle 😅 anyway, can't wait for the Cheltenham Festival!
