Can you solve it? Wordplay wizardry by the UK's king of quiz

Frank Paul, the UK's king of quizzes and Only Connect champion, is back with another round of wordplay wizardry that will put your linguistic skills to the test.

For the first teaser, Frank presents a pattern-based puzzle where two words are presented: one with three consecutive consonants replaced by three consecutive vowels. The answer is a pair of words, such as "in a gentle way" and "social environment". However, not all pairs of words will follow this rule.

The next teaser consists of three words or names. Each word has the first and last letter removed from the first word to form the second word, and then the first and last letter are removed from the second word to create the third. The example provided is "definitive", "Indian drink", and "dolt" with an answer of "classic", "lassi", and "ass".

The final teaser is a bit more complex - it's called a word loop, where the words follow the pattern AB, BC, CA. For instance, in the example provided, the words "hold forth", "forthwith", and "withhold" form the answer.

Frank has taken three hidden numbers next to each other from his latest book, S Pin Off: Choose your puzzle-filled path to TV stardom, which is also a choose-your-own-path adventure. The reader's task is to find these numbers.

so i think this sounds like a total blast πŸ”₯ especially the word loop teaser - those patterns always give me a headache but in a good way 🀯 it's like trying to solve a puzzle within a puzzle. and i love how frank presents multiple ways of solving each teaser, it keeps you on your toes πŸ’‘ what i'm not sure about is how well the TV show will work with the choose-your-own-path adventure aspect - hope they can balance the competition with the storytelling 🀞

Ugh, wordplay is back and I'm already over it πŸ˜’. Just kidding, sort of. Seriously though, these teasers sound like a right ol' brain twister fest! Three consecutive consonants turned into vowels? Sounds like Frank's got some fancy footwork going on with his linguistic skills πŸ€Έβ€β™‚οΈ. But you know what's even more intriguing? Those hidden numbers in the book - could be a treasure trove of puzzle-solving goodness πŸ”! I'm definitely gonna have to keep an eye out for those, but honestly, if I have to do too many wordplay puzzles, I'll probably end up as broken as a vowel with three consecutive consonants πŸ˜‚.

omg i just love wordplay puzzles 🀯 they sound so much fun!!! i'm definitely going to check out frank paul's show and try to solve the teasers... but what's with the weird formatting in the teaser examples? πŸ˜‚ can't they just use normal paragraphs instead of all these weird lines? πŸ“ anyway, i love that one of the answers is "lassi" - i had no idea that was a type of drink! 🍹 does anyone know how to get to lassi recipes online?

OMG 🀯 I'm SO down for this! Frank Paul is literally the master of wordplay and I'm here for it πŸ’‘! The puzzle sounds like so much fun and I love how complex they are, like that word loop one πŸ€”...can you even keep track? πŸ˜‚ And I've got to give props to Frank for being so clever with that hidden numbers thingy πŸ“. I'm totally gonna have to check out his book S Pin Off: Choose your puzzle-filled path to TV stardom, it sounds like a total brain-twister 🧠...in the best way possible, obvi 😎!

🀩 I'm so excited for this new quiz show with Frank Paul! He's like a wordplay wizard, and I love how he creates puzzles that make you think outside the box. I mean, who wouldn't want to figure out a word loop where the words follow an AB, BC, CA pattern? 🧐 That one sounds like a real brain-twister. And I'm intrigued by the hidden numbers thing - it's like a treasure hunt! πŸ’Ž Can't wait to tune in and see how my linguistic skills measure up against Frank's. Bring on the puzzles and let's get quizzing! πŸ˜„

What's up with all these teasers? Can I just get a plain old quiz πŸ™„πŸ“

I'm so excited for Frank Paul's new round of wordplay puzzles 🀩! I love how he comes up with these clever patterns and challenges us to think creatively. The idea of finding three hidden numbers next to each other in his book S Pin Off sounds like a fun adventure πŸ“šπŸ”. I'm already thinking about which path I'd choose - maybe the one that leads me to solving it all quickly πŸ’¨! Frank's puzzles are always so much fun, and I love how they make us use our linguistic skills in new and unexpected ways 🀯. Bring on the puzzle-filled path! πŸ˜„
