Longwood Gardens is once again transforming into a winter wonderland for the holiday season with its popular display, A Longwood Christmas. Set to return from November 21, 2025, through January 11, 2026, the event promises to be a dazzling spectacle of color and light.
This year's theme, "A Gem of a Holiday Season," takes inspiration from precious stones, with glittering trees adorned in shades of blue, red, green, and gold. Crystal ornaments, luxurious fabrics, and gemstone-like lighting add an extra layer of sparkle to the already stunning display.
The Music Room is a particular highlight, featuring a towering 12-foot tree that rises from a replica jewelry box, complete with a sweeping ruby-red bow on top. The room's mirrors and metallic accents reflect light beautifully, while mineral specimens from the Delaware Museum of Nature and Science add a touch of natural beauty to the space.
Beyond the indoor displays, Longwood Gardens' outdoor spaces are transformed into a winter wonderland. More than 500,000 twinkling lights illuminate trees, floating gem shapes on the Large Lake, and even the Wildlife Tree, which is adorned with gilded oyster shells and natural grains for birds and woodland animals.
Other crowd-pleasers include the Meadow Tunnel of Lights and Garden Railway, as well as daily fountain shows set to holiday music. Visitors can also warm up in the Beer Garden or enjoy a festive meal at the 1906 restaurant, while kids can indulge in the Taste of Christmas buffet at The Fountain Room.
Admission tickets must be reserved in advance, with adults paying $45 and youth ages 5-18 paying $25. Tickets are available now on longwoodgardens.org.
For one more season, Longwood Gardens will be a place to experience the magic of the holiday season. Don't miss out on this sparkling spectacle that promises to leave visitors enchanted until January 11, 2026.
